At first i was like, "great, now iphone will copy pixel's design." But now after looking at the renders of the pro, all i can say is... interesting.
I am not sure what made them go with such a design, and why did they choose to increase the island to cover the whole top part, but hey, atleast its different compared to the last 6 years or so.
I am interested to see the design of the base iphone 17 now, will they keep the vertical layout? Or will they go with horizontal? Also werent there leaks long time ago that the iphone 17 pro max will only come with a punch hole camera instead of the pill? I would be interested to see that happening too.

It looks like we are not going to see a smaller dynamic island. Very disappointing if true.

The iPhone 17 Air looks good, but I don't know about the 17 Pro. That camera visor makes me think of Realme or Xiaomi than anything else.

Just looks uglier than before. At the very least they could have made the visor flat like the pixel ones so you could rest the phone on a table without it wobbling, but no the cameras still have to stick out some more.

If they use that blank space for something like a low power screen (LCD or even e ink) this would actually be really cool. Like a dynamic island on the back

Finally a breath of fresh air after litterally 6 years of the unchanged cooking stove.
And no, a bigger stove each year DOES NOT account for a design change.
