In short, Europe is relying on its century old scientific advancements, which made European countries become world powers. But Europe isn't developing any new stuff anymore. The car industry is a good example for Europe's lack of competitiveness.
Moreover, without the USA, Europe would be nothing today. America financially and technologically helped Europe to become what it is today and now America is tired of paying for Europe's political games.

Since the world's tech now stands at microprocessors, we should not forget that their is one company in the world that makes ev machines, ASMR, and sells them to TSMC, SAMSUNG AND INTEL

Translation - EU's Politicians: Cook, Zuckerberg, you better "donate" more of Apple and Facebook's profits to our election campaigns, if you know what's good for you.

[deleted post]Where do you think the technology comes from, with which all top tier processors in the world are made? It is true the States and China focuses harder on consumer grade products. Without Europe, those things would be a lot less advanced.

                              Let me quote this:

"Teresa Ribera has the power to approve or veto multi-billion euro mergers and slap hefty fees on companies, seeking to bolster their market power by throttling smaller rivals. Apple was already pushed to allow third-party app stores for iOS, while Meta was targeted to push Marketplace on Facebook instead of allowing fair competition with other classified ads providers."

She has the power to approve or veto out. Well, I can see the "lobbyist" came from. Talking about human rights 🙄 blocking road and let people die in ambulance is not really matter when it comes to $$$.

2 days ago some FB representative talked about this issue on Yahoo. Anything from Europe not liked will be put in front of Trump for him to retaliate against the EU.

One of the worst things currently is that Apple force Watch users to use an iPad or iPhone. This has to end and be opened to Android users. Of course this would result in a huge uptick in Apple's Watch sales ... but effectively mark the end to their walled garden, which they view as far more valuable.
