Samsung offers some insight into why it changed the Ultra design the way that it did.

Never understand the point of these unboxing videos anymore where the only things inside are just the phone, cable, and SIM ejector.

Also, the S25 Ultra is really uncomfortable to hold. The edges imo are still too sharp for my liking.

          You know what else isn't ergonomic? The flat frame iPhone 12-14 design that everyone is spamming nowadays so while Samsung tried to make the phone more "comfortable" by rounding up the corners, they flattened the frame which is one of if not the most uncomfortable phone designs
          The S24 Ultra is way more comfortable to hold despite what those soft boy you tubers complained about

              Blends into what exactly? They showed it off against an S24 Ultra and it's clearly not true. As for durability, well Samsung maybe blind to it, but additional useless plastic rings won't help with that at all, quite the opposite.

                Flat sides make this expensive device look cheapish, like some budget phone from the A series.
