Anonymous, 20 Feb 2025How does providing developer's address help anyone exc... moreSlows down the fake apps that bypass App store security. Tons and tons of apps every day get banned by the same group of people that have an unlimited number of developer accounts that they spam the same app into in hopes one will slip through the cracks.

reminds me that there are still no new 3rd party apps on the officially available AltStore PAL app market, seemingly because Apple continues to exert control over it by way of requiring apps on there to be "notarized" by them. whatever that actually means, it seems to be sufficient to keep the store mostly empty

The law makes sense worldwide and not just for the EU.
Either: You offer free apps and don't have to provide your details.
Or: You earn money with your apps and need to pay taxes on the income. That's why they want to have the developer infos.

Anonymous, 20 Feb 2025egarly waiting the status of backdoor request by euNo worries they are already there without EU requesting anything. Actually EU wants to stop exactly that from further happening. But well, when ignorance is bliss you just comment without researching.
