Currently using np1 and was hoping to upgrade to an np3 but looks like gotta wait whole year for that. Will wait for pixel X this year and see how it is. If it isn't ground breaking then simply choose pixel 9.

I think if you reduce animations in GUI (you won't miss anything tbh) and if you disable camera geotaging and face recognition/etc. you won't recognize your old A52s. Mine is blazing fast, I have most of google spyware disabled/uninstalled as well..
Nothing phone 2a is great device, no question about it..is it better than A55, that I can't say, although we have all 3 phones here at home..Each has pros and cons.
P.S. chinese gang should pretty much stay away, neither Aseries no NP are struggling with what is normal for chinese phones..

The 7s Gen 3 is proven to be garbage in autonomy in the Redmi Note 14+ pro.
I expect the phone (3a) to be a total shame against the phone (2a) plus in terms of battery life.
And battery life is what you need on a MOBILE phone.

Writing from A52s, running Android 14, fast... moreI agree with the OP especially with the latest stunt they pulled with charging restocking fees for people returning the S25 Ultra within the returns period and and possibly gatekeeping OneUI 7 features that could easily run on the S24 Ultra.
Anyway aside from all this I have a A52s and a Nothing Phone 2 and it's subjective the Nothing Phone 2 IMO is a much more better experience all round. Despite the A52s having a 3.5mm jack and SD card that's where the goodness stops.
My A52s is really laggy and slow and the camera app keeps failing this despite factory resetting it several times.

Mijing, 21 Feb 2025At the end your samsung is running A14 while Np is running A15 😂And they're still stuck with fixed focus macro cam in a series. The one time they had telephoto they replaced it next gen and then axed the a7x series.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I am certainly fond of this design from Nothing. It's not spectacular but is finally different from all other boring designs. Software side is the best there is at the moment - not too bloated and yet, not to spartan like vanilla Android. Similar to OxygenOS back in the days.
After NP1 and NP2 I grew weary, bought OP13 as a sidestep. Looking forward to Nothing Phone 3.

It's funny what one extra camera does to the aesthetics. The 2a was like a nice robot like eye design, three cameras looks weird. On the Pro it looks like an insect or spiders eye cluster.

Anonymous, 21 Feb 2025Nothing phone is better than Samsungwell, I can't say that for certain tbh. I have both of them here - they are different and if you like the one, you won't like the other. No issues with any of them, stable, fast.. just different.
At the end it all comes down to:
-A series has sd card slot
-A series has Samsung software and ecosystem
-A series has better camera
-NP2a has incredible battery life
-NP has almost clean android
-NP2a is lighter/more comfortable than A55
... it's just a matter of personal preference at this stage imho
