yes, please full review

Souzazs, 24 Feb 2025the main camera sensor is the imx 890 50MP, this sensor alr... moreAgreed, but spec wise IMX890 in this phone & LYT700 in Find X8 are identical. I'm wondering how much of difference LYT700 would make in real time, since the aperture, sensor size & focal length, all are same as in Find X8.

Let us wait and see in the full review.

NickValok, 24 Feb 2025If it's an optical rather than an ultrasonic fingerpri... moreBased on what you have said, I initially thought may be Si/C battery would've got the job done and left room for optical fingerprint sensor to be placed in the ideal position. But when I made a quick reference on the below models, it seems Si/C battery capacity variants equipped currently are ~ 5600, 5900, 6000 based wrt OP/Oppo devices(I have left Vivo/Iqoo as they belong to a different R&D).

      Find X8 : 7.85 mm , 5630 mAh - Si/C

      Find X8 pro : ~8.3 mm , 5910 mAh - Si/C

      OP 13R : ~8.5/8.9 mm , 6000 mAh - Si/C

So, it seems like Oppo either could've gone to 5630 mAh Si/C and made it around 7.8mm thick, but still given the 6.83 inch screen estate in Reno 13 pro, that capacity wouldn't have been enough. Also 5910 mAh Si/C would've landed up beyond 8mm thickness. Thereby their design choice ending up with 5800 mAh Li-ion, so that they can market it as a slimmer device(7.55mm thickness to be exact for Reno 13 pro).

DOes it supports tri-band wifi 7 ? and 6ghz band in hotspot mode ?

M.Reda, 24 Feb 2025Where's the full review for such a beast and a unique ... moreIn my opinion, Oppo deliberately wanting to boost sales for Find X8 first, as Reno 13 pro goes head to head wrt camera department with 3 of it's cameras, and it's 50mp selfie also outperforms Find X8's selfie cam which doesn't even have AF. (Though Reno's UW cam is a bummer)

Seems like Oppo has delayed sending the review units not just to GSMarena, even several popular tech youtube channels(India based) didn't receive the unit as well. Because a lot of popular reviewers have stated openly that they usually don't buy the product, rather wait for the brands to give the review unit for testing.

As I had already mentioned in the comments section of Reno 13 pro specs page, this device truly deserves a neutral review from GSMarena, since it's either overshadowed by Find X8 or underplayed by Oppo themselves.

I do agree on the slightly costlier pricing at launch, D8350 marginally lagging behind 7+ gen 3, 8s gen 3 and even D9200+ based devices. Also the display's brightness which is lower compared to competitors at same price.

With aforementioned hiccups apart(which aren't worrying by any means while using in real time), this device is surely an all-rounder package in the current upper midrange segment and deserves some recognition.

Fingers crossed for the full review from GSMarena team...🤞🏼🤞🏼

Arnamzo, 24 Feb 2025Hot take For what you're getting, it's a bit t... moreOppo has tied up with Mediatek for a while now, as Snapdragon is reserved for their sibling brands(OP & Realme). If you closely follow the BBK portfolio of products, they have their subset of brands for specific groups of audience. Say, Realme & IQOO are performance & gaming centric, with considerable spec cuts in camera department. IQOO's flagship will no way become close to Vivo's phone cameras in the same price range even if Vivo has slightly inferior chipset wise. Same goes of Realme being held back wrt cameras to leave way for Oppo & OnePlus in the upper midrange as well as flagship segment.

Now coming to your options such as 8 gen 3 or D9300 for Reno 13 pro, they will never do that since OP 13R sales will take severe hit, and if Oppo gives a chipset as you said, then a large set of people will opt for Reno 13 pro and leave OP 13R, since chipset & display specs are main areas which are competitive in OP 13R. There isn't much difference in battery capacity as well. Pretty sure people (in India atleast) looking for camera centric device would jump towards Oppo, if they made the choice of high end chipset. 10% to 15% price hike is not a big deal in here for the crowd browsing through upper midrange segment.

Also, e-commerce platforms like Flipkart here gives upto 10% discount already with major bank's credit cards for Reno 13 pro, which is a good deal and along with exchange we can surely get a bargain(I got mine for half the price including exchange of Xiaomi 14 civi). Bit costlier pricing is also because of brand value and vast retail presence(for sure across India), as people in here value Oppo & Vivo similar to Samsung in western markets.

My biggest concern while buying the phone was similar too, even though after getting upto 1.27 million antutu v10 score in perf mode, I felt Oppo should have atleast opted for D8400, which would ended up around 1.5 to 1.6 million score atleast and made Reno 13 pro much competitive in the market. I did see a score of 1.39 million for Reno 13 pro in a youtube review(mysmartprice channel & note at timestamp - 7:20) , which is an Indian unit as well. I am guessing review units are tuned differently than the ones which others receive, as Oppo & OnePlus are very well known for underclocking the chipset for better thermal management on their high end phones.

After using for more than a month, I got well adapted to Reno 13 pro as it's UX smoothness in real time is still similar to a 8s gen 3 device(comparing Xiaomi 14 civi here which I had used for around 6 months). Also do note that the presence of eSIM, quad curve, IP 68/69 rating, 5800 mAh battery & that 3.5x telephoto, all of these do surely give a flagship(equivalent) feel except for D8350 & display's HBM/peak brightness. Reiterating again, D8350 is no slouch by any means in real time usage.

Where's the full review for such a beast and a unique phone? Why being too late for it?

Especially if you're holding the phone with one hand. I'd much rather have it on the back or even on the power button.
I'm curious how much more expensive the ultrasonic sensor is than the optical sensor.

Anyone knows when this is coming to eu market, it cant be that long as global edition is released for some time now

Definitely a lot of people would like to see a review since the hardware of the Reno 13 pro is interesting (but it's not a perfect phone because of the 8MP ultra wide lens) and it's review will definitely be more interesting than the iPhone 16e's review
