Face it, Samsung foldables can't compete in China where there are many other foldables with better designs. Samsung is at the bottom of the list for Chinese consumers.

It has also been proven being the thinnest is not what most people want. As long as you hit a certain range, you're good.

BTW, every foldable has a gap. This is a must to avoid the screen touching when folded. Any flush design you see is the frame/border.

Samsung and Sony have no chance in the Chinese market as the media there hate them.

And apple will bring out a foldable something or other soon enough but not until they have something vaguely unique about it so they could say they were the first at something or other. More than likely a new foldable tablet would be their best move.

Sony is too poor in cash to even do a foldable prototype, let alone release one.

EU market is lacking Sony and Apple foldables so much, its basically a free reign of samsung, who can push just mid range hardware in them, while chinese phones are hard to get.
Its like chinese folds battle just between themselves and even rumored samsung fold7 bound to have a specs recycled.

If you referred to being thin and fragile as much as possible, you would be right. But all, really all relevant and less relevant aspects of the software and hardware for Foldables come from Samsung. Outsourcing of the cameras to a huge island is certainly not an innovation.
I hope Samsung keeps the standard Z Fold series as it is including the S Pen.
