Very bland looking phone. What the hell is going on with designers now days? The Pixel Band was their Brand and it worked. 9 is Ugly and 9a, if that's really it, is Bland. The Pixel Charm is gone, it appears.

Tensor G2 wasn't particularly efficient so you might end up charging each day => 365 x 2 = 730 charges ~ 620 cycles (assuming you're charging between 15% and 100%). Yup, that's about right. After 600 cycles, you can expect battery to fail. Also, don't believe manufacturer numbers: if they say battery lasts 1200 cycles, it's almost certain it will last 800 or less. Theoretic numbers =//= practical numbers.

Pixel 3aXL in 2019 (3700mAh) with 4 years of use.
I doubt that new Pixel 9a will perform that well.

JatinBacon, 25 Feb 2025I want to experience Pixel UI but google pixel phones are v... moreFWIW, I'm using a Pixel 6a nearly 3 years after buying it, and I still get all Day+ battery life. And that's with only a 4410mAh battery and a (relatively) inefficient SoC.
The larger battery of this 9a should last multiple days, and I hear the regular 9series is doing well for daily battery usage.

But should be same sensor from Pixel 9 Pro Fold, which does alright (some softness occasionally, but I think it's because AF misses sometimes). Would have loved the Lytia-700 sensor, tbph.

I want to experience Pixel UI but google pixel phones are very expensive and 3000-4700mAh battery life and this Google chipset is 💩 not Good for games if google used snapdragon or MTK I will definitely try Google pixels
