Just me, 26 Feb 2025I'm not arguing that is the best wording, just saying ... moreDude, this is just wrong. If this was the case, then all existing folding phones would be called bi-folds!

Just me, 26 Feb 2025I'm not arguing that is the best wording, just saying ... moreNo, that's not the dictionary definition as "fold" by no way means "part". Fold means "bend something over on itself" and this happens in two places, not three.

Just me, 26 Feb 2025Technically speaking it's a Tri-Fold, because it has 3... moreNow that makes sense I thought by saying TRI fold that the device folds 3 times but TRI fold means that the device can be folded into 3 layers

I don't know why people feels the need to reinvent old words. Google it. Tri-fold is used in flyers in wallets and so on, long before the folding smartphones.
Tri-Fold - three sections fold...

The question is where the third folding mechanism should be.
Maybe I'm completely blind or too stupid.
I only see two folding mechanisms in the pictures, regardless of whether Samsung or Huawei. So the correct term would be three-fold-smartphones.

Huawei is no rival to Samsung. It's a local brand that, stuck in China itself. Huawei has no competition power in any market. People read the innovative hardware of tri-fold but, won't buy it. So,Samsung has no rush until xiaomi, oppo, vivo or oneplus get more aggressive.

if samsung is going to release a tri folding smartphone, will it have the same battery as the mate XT? will it support the same charging speed as the mate XT? will it be as expensive as the mate XT? (it might be even more expensive) will it have cameras as good the mate XT's?
