The Galaxy S24 family, and the Z Flip6 and Z Fold6 will kick off the Android 15 update.

Neither does Samsung's Z Flip6 and Z Fold6, one of which is significantly more expensive than any Razr.

      Jumped from s23+ to s25 ultra and I am shocked how fast and good is new one ui.
      Better wait for polished software nor use buggy laggy.
      But user vulgaris dont be happy anyway, if release faster but with gliches or wait and get great software.

        I'm starting to get scared.

        I could easily survive on OneUI 6.1 and on Android 16 and 17. I've had an S25 with OneUI7 for a few days now and it was hell for me. I don't understand it, for me the changes are more for the worse. On the lock screen after tapping the clock there is only a clock?
        No music player, current weather alarm, routines and recorder, just like I have now. Battery percentage in the status bar absolutely unreadable!!! Completely redesigned notification bar, when after removing the quick controls from the top I can't reach the first notification or the small S25 with one hand? More waste of space with each notification? (each notification is a little bigger than on OneUI 6.1) Controlling music elements only after the second pull down of the bar. Everything is simply wrong for me. I'm either a brake on "progress", an extreme can or I really don't know... Or comrades just screwed everything up... :-D while the S25 itself is a great hardware phone.

        I'm going to pray that they won't be able to fine-tune, finish, optimize One UI7 on the S23 for a long time...

        This didn't work out very well for me, unfortunately. So for now I'm staying with the S23 and when it becomes inevitable (due to the update to OneUI7, or God forbid the S23 dies :-D ) then the S25 (or something else) will come into consideration. It really annoys me, because the phone itself is great and feels more comfortable in the hand and holds better than the S23 and I would really like to keep it, but... Don't take this post as hate, just my personal sigh...

          In 2022 Dec we got lateast BETA and Jan 2023 we got stable update at same time S23 launch. And now ????? Samsung denting their REPUTATION

              Jesus, I'm getting it at the end of April 2025. Google is going to release new Android version just 5 months later. Wtf are you doing Samsung?!

                This is just a disgrace and that is all.
                Seems that Samsung is making fun of themselves and acting like idiots.
                There is no justification at all for the delays and for a company that big to avoid any comments is comic and purely damages their reputation.
                My OnePlus 10 has gotten the uodate already, but my S23 Ultra has been left hanging.

                And if someone's going to say that they are doing this to make things right, congratulations, you have found an excuse to calm yourselves down.

                  DarlingYext, 4 hours agoThis one is intentionally late, so it's very likely th... moresometimes it doesn't work like that.. let me remind you about 2022 year, I do still own A71, back then Android 12 we got it almost April (officially started mid of March) month, then the Android 13 happened in end of November already.. which is only 8 months difference in between. When A16 would be? That depends of more factors.. at the end of the day, what's all this fuse about the updates if they're sooner or later ? Drama!

                      P.S. To be fair, Fairphone has like, 5 phones total, even though they have less resources, they have less things to spend the resources on.

And how come you presume this will be, when only this update is late? It's one update that takes a long time, since 2017 of using a Samsung, never an update arrived late, just this single One UI 7 update. They're usually in time, except now. And that's the worst thing ever? Don't exaggerate, it's gonna be alright.

                                      There are string rumors android 16 will be out much earlier this year.

                                        At its Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung unveiled the One UI 7 custom skin based on Android 15 along with the three Galaxy S25 smartphones. The custom skin is available on the Galaxy S25 phones out of the box and has started to roll out for other Samsung devices, starting with the top-end S24 and S23 series first. However, the rollout pace for the same has been slower than expected. While the Galaxy S24 series has had access to the One UI 7 beta for some time, owners of other eligible devices have been left wondering when their turn will come. Now, fresh leaks suggest that the wait may soon be over—at least for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6.
