For camera, the A series looks nothing special compared by upper midrage chinese brands like Vivo V series and Xiaomi T series. Samsung A series just leading for One UI, software support and micro sdcard even the article didn't mention about sdcard support at all.

                  So the sd card slot disappeared. Is there any info on whether the A56 supports raw photos since the a36 is snapdragon and probably will? These seem kind of meh ...nice design though.

                    GTA V, The Witcher 3, Resident Evil 2 and tons more are now fully playable on smartphones through apps such as Winlator, but that depends on how powerful your chipset is

At launch though it was not a great deal. The launch price of the A56 in Europe is actually OK. Not great or anything but similar to the Redmi note 14 pro+ 5g. Basically €529 versus €500 for 256gb of each

                                      The A56 can't justify a doubling in price over the Redmi Note 14 5G.

                                      Comparison summary:
                                      - A56 has a more powerful SoC (by 30-50%) with a much more powerful GPU (by 200-400%; the 14 5G has a very basic GPU)
                                      - A56 probably takes better photos but specs-wise the two camera systems are very comparable
                                      - A56 has 2 more years of security updates (6 total vs 4 for the 14 5G) and 4 more years of major Android version updates (6 total vs 2)
                                      - A56 has slightly better dust/water resistance
                                      - 14 5G has 3.5 mm out and FM radio and A56 doesn't
                                      - That's it. In terms of size, screen, battery/charge, RAM, SSD, radios, etc. the two are twins.

                                      But then we get to price. I got my 8/256 GB 14 5G a month ago for ~€11/mo spread over 2 years with 0 interest, amounting to a total of ~€260. The A56 is €530!!! for the same 8/256 GB. Yikes!

                                      I wouldn't pay double. The advantages are just not worth THAT much. Even 50% extra would be too much because the 14 5G is OK in normal apps (I don't game on the phone), I'm no artsy photographer and I only care about security updates so if I pay 50% more for a 50% longer time with security updates that's no sweet deal.
