The A86 model is to address the USA & Europe markets and also the fast paced Asian market. The target is meant for users who wants needs to works and have entertainment simultaneously across his/her mobile life. As it provides a solution to users with a specific requirement. For example, during office hours, where one would require Phone functionality as priority over a Tablet, but to be able to enjoy improved contents and multimedia as a Tablet. For example, that one could be playing a game earlier during public transit to work and save the game's progress to continue with it when he/she is at home after work and with increased visual estate for more enjoyment.

The Padfone would be a solution for people that are using mostly the smartphone when they are not at home, but rely heavily at the tablet for media an internet once they get back home. I think it's a very good ideea to share, the processor, RAM, wireless chip, GPS, camera, etc. if it means a substantial price cut. Since I don't use as much the phone at home, or the tablet outside, it would be a lot of redundancy to have both devices beefed up with expensive components.
The problem is that in the case of the present Padfone Infinity the price cut is very little, if any, and lacks global availability.

In my country (in Europe) there's only one or two retailers that carry limited quantities of the original Padfone and won't even consider the Padfone Infinity. All the major retailers just don't see the business in this combo and honestly, neither do I. It's a great novelty item with really good specs but I would rather have two devices that work simultaneously alongside each other.

padfone is not even available worldwide, and they only offer it to few countries. I feel bad for them for delivering such a great product but with a poor distribution.
Asus deserves better than this, but its just that are stupid enough not having this in other countries like in our country in philippines
