I don't know why there has been so much fuss regarding the spo2 sensor. It's not even terribly accurate. I tested my watch for spo2 and there was at least 4-5% difference most of the time. This straight away means it's just a gimmick and should not be used for clinical purposes

AliveCor are upset they can't patent ECGs? I've read the case docs and basically all they wanted was to patent ECG which was invented in 1895.

Say what you will about Apple, but trying to patent tech invented over 100 years ago is just stupid.

Maybe they should've tried patenting air or water...

Anonymous, 9 hours agoIt was alivecor, not masimo.Oop ur right sorry. Same thing still applies though because AliveCor shouldn’t be able to use such a broad patent

the court got payed. Thats how companies get what they want. But ofcourse the system wont talk about that.

And I never said every judge was corrupt, but if anyone thinks the legal system doesn't favour large corporations that bring in a tonne of money then idk what to tell you

Anonymous, 08 Mar 2025R u there during the trial ?I was reading the articles showing how apple was given every benefit they could. By US law they shouldn't be able to shop watches until everything is cleared but the ruling was changed, changed again, then again

American court rules in favour of wealthy American company. What is going on?

I hate Apple as a corporation, but I hate Masimo more because they’re a greedy health company who’s just trying to exploit patents, so I’m glad Apple won

Big tech vs big tech is like 2 elephants fighting.

The grass (consumers) end up suffering for it.
