Thin and lightweight is exactly what Samsung's base S series devices are. The S25 Edge however will likely be top heavy and that would happen exactly due to its thickness, and the huge camera bump that needs to be on top of this thin device.

One of my friends still uses an old Samsung.. God it's so thin even compared to my xiaomi 12tpro.. Just looks better and is so much lighter. I had a oneplus 8 previously.. 20+ g lighter than my current phone and no top heavy camera and it was the modern ratio too. Makes a huge difference in gaming too. Companies just remove features now and reintroduce them at a premium for generations that don't know any better. Problem is nobody cares enough to complain these days. You just get ripped off and accept it especially on galaxies that have an iPhone like premium on them of about £200 more than they should be. Something has to give because there's cheaper better phones out there now. Samsung has everything to lose.

It has better camera, video recording, has better performance overall (since Samsung tends to throttle the performance more after a long-term usage), clean software, and great customer service (at least in my country, and yeah Vivo's customer service is better than Samsung in my experience).

            There aren't a lot of phones with a 1/1.4" main sensor, but the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G (Global) comes to mind, which is decidedly a midrange phone and isn't trying to be a flagship device at all. You know most chinese phones that are actually as expensive, or maybe cost a little more than the S25+, they use that sensor for their periscope telephoto, which is like 3-4 years ahead of the 10MP 1/3.94" telephoto of the S25+, so that's that.

So I'm paying 400 dollars without taxes to trade in my s24+ and get s25+ but I'm paying 500 dollars overall so will pass this one. Also have many cases for s24+ and don't want to order cases again for s25+ and its not a huge upgrade. Maybe will wait for s26+ or s27+ instead. Hope it comes with more ram and more storage.

                Anonymous, 10 Mar 2025I'd rather buy s25 plus instead but will skip this tim... moreyeah i would have traded if it's real nice and only have to pay 300 bucks additonal max along with sending samsung my s24, but at this price would probably mean 500+...yeah no thanks, rather skip this year too and see what s26 offers and trade pay 400 bucks or whatever towards that since i prefer compact phones anyways, i like that this is slim but wish it screen size was also the size as standard s24/s25 model and not the plus model screen size, but yeah also expected it to cost no more than standard s25, it costing more is a bit much, i remember back early days with s6 and such when they were going for slimmest on their standard or the a8, expected this to be entry priced too especially given the things they are sacrificing/taking away to achieve it

Though I rarely use the camera overall its an amazing phone. Build quality is great but screen will scratch easily. So use a screen protector and a case starting from the first day. Other than that its much better than my sister's iPhone 15 pro max. Screen is amazing. Speakers are good. System is very fast and smooth. No any overheating. Faced only one heat warning since I bought it. Was when using in a hot weather both 5g and bluetooth and location were turned on and I was playing a game. Some delivery apps were running in background as well. That was the only time. Under normal usage heating isn't an issue and battery life is very good. Charging takes about one hour from empty to full using official 45w charger. Any questions are welcomed. Feel free to write here. As for s25 series you just get more powerful chipset and some new ai features. Other than that its very similar.

The x200 is using a rehashed x766 for the main camera which is very dated. They haven't improved the main camera in several generations. No upgrade since the x80 4 generations ago. Long range zoom has also regressed this year as well as last year's telephoto was better for long range zoom but the zoom will still be light years ahead of this new Samsung phone alright

                            Yikes... I hope those WhO mUsT hAvE tHe SlImEsT pHoNe would actually sober up. 3 models are fine. vanilla, plus, ultra. why complicate stuff??
