Darth Caesium, 13 Mar 2025Another LCD screen? Pass. Clearly not high-end enough.I wouldn't mind IPS displays, but not at their target price. Also, if it can't make calls via a SIM card, that's also a massive concern. Sure, not by holding it closer to the ear like phones, but using the loudspeaker in place of the ear speaker instead.

Just call it the OnePlus Pad 3 at this point.

Wish to have this specced phone wit bigger size.
Like 10-12 centimetres in width and like 20-24 tall.

The quality of the display of the mini-LED Apple iPad Pro is garbage. The blooming issue on it is horrible.

Ouifuf, 13 Mar 2025Tell me what people will use this for that uses more power ... moreRunning LLMs requires a LOT of RAM, Emulation requires a LOT of RAM, High End video encoding and decoding uses a LOT of CPU reaources, There are games ported from other platforms that can use as much GPU power as you can throw at it, 3D modelling and many resource intensive digital art use cases. Me personally, I would use it for video editing, heavy gaming, Emulation and mirror display while streaming or recording.

What is up with this weird obsession of comparing everything to a to laptop soon as it gets a little powerful. Extremely different products for completely different users. A laptop will never be as portable or efficient as a tablet. 100% of the laptops cannot compete with Tablets display quality in a similar price range (price is always king).

Who even likes windows anymore? Microsoft has ruined it.

LCD for the win, thank you Oneplus!

hev.c, 13 Mar 2025lcd?? why...LCDs are usually cheaper than OLEDs. OnePlus cannot make an expensive tab yet, so they have to keep costs low to protect profits somehow.

Cah Nglayab, 13 Mar 2025LCD screen means you don't need to worry about green l... moreLCDs have image retention problems, backlight bleeding, uneven illumination and yes it too can develop the so called "green line" since it is a ribbon cable issue in most cases and not the nanel itself.

Both technologies are equally flawed but one is objectively more premium, harder to make and expensive (OLED).

Until we get QDEL (possibly mah never trickle down to phones), Micro-LED, Nano-LED (both incredibly expensive as of now and even harder to produce) all we have is some variation of LCDs and OLEDs.

Point is, it's up to the users preference. If the OLED flicker is uncomfortable, LCDs are the only choice, if true blacks and contrast matter OLED is the standing champion, pixel response time is another win for OLED... Mini-LED is good and sometimes even great but people love complaining about something so blooming is what they point out mostly.

Quit complaining about something being more than what *YOU* need.

Who needs this much power on a tablet? I have a pad 2 and I just don't use all that power. Give the pad 2 pro an oled screen and a way bigger battery but keep the same chip

LCD screen means you don't need to worry about green lines and burn in. Also LCD doesn't automatically means terrible display quality. This high-end tablet have a durability advantage compared to its OLED-screen counterpart.
