Still doesn't disprove that you can't read the post. Because there's no mention about lytia600 and no mentions about improvements on sensor itself.

According to you Oppo improved 6x by exactly using the same component. :)

Whats even funnier that you wrote that after I mentioned isocell hp9 which sounds you're trying to justify an idea that it can compete with that sensor. Funny!

Eduard33, 13 Mar 2025Imx 882 = lytia 600Sony is doing mistake then. Changing nothing just the name ha?

      So, imx882=lyt600?

Then is it the same logic imx989=lyt900?

      Hahahahaahhah. Hilarious.

The guy can't even read the post but defends the Oppo.

The sensor is clearly smaller than hp9 but for those it's amazing. Like even lytia 600 is amazing with its mediocre performance.

Full of Oppo fanboys, Samsung fnboys nowadays.

They're not customer anymore they're a believer following after their best brands...

Yes it is. 70mm is great for portraits. So is 85mm. Sounds like you don't know what you're talking about.

This is the statement about 6x:

At 3 o'clock is the SonyIMX882 with 50 MP sensor and a 6x optical zoom through a periscope lens.

Where are 'the greatly improved' statements?

Are you taking into account whatever the brand tells you?

So, of they say it's been greatly improved over the previous generation, you go like 'oh yeah you're definitely right'?

                      Literally this post.

The 6x is now a lyt600 with a much larger aperture. The Xiaomi is much bigger because, yes it's a bigger sensor but it's using a traditional periscope lens, instead of the W style that Oppo will use.

Eduard33, 13 Mar 2025Oppo has an amazing 3x which the Vivo lacks. The 6x perisco... more"Oppo has an amazing 3x which the Vivo lacks."

No need, and 3x is not sweet spot for portrait photography. I'd understand if there was a dedicated 2x sensor.

"The 6x periscope has greatly improved this gen, with a larger sensor and a larger aperture."

                        Your source about the statements?

Did you see xiaomi 15u modules? Xiaomi uses same lyt900 and that isocell hp9 sensor is giant, bigger than that.

Meanwhile, here we have that so called 'improved' 6x next to lyt900. Very small.

Check the news title with the following:

"Xiaomi 15 Ultra's camera arrangement purportedly shown in leaked image"

The 6x periscope has greatly improved this gen, with a larger sensor and a larger aperture. The Vivo will still be able to capture more light but will have to crop in quite a bit and upscaling might make things look worse.

                            Eno2, 13 Mar 2025It's not better, it's way better!How better?

                            How way better?

X200u will use lyt 818 on uw. When you check the specs: it comes in a size of 1/1.28 with pixel size=1.22µm.

Meanwhile, x8u comes with the uw shown on the picture confirmed to be a Samsung jn5 comes(not 808) in a size of 1/2.76 with pixel size= 0.64µm.

Lyt818 is SIGNIFICANTLY bigger and newer.

Main cam is hard one to compare but seems to be going to Oppo due to having that 1 inch lyt900 meanwhile x200u uses again lyt818 for the main cam. Lyt818 competes really well though.

With telescope x200u wins clearly with that giant isocell hp9 sensor. Oppo's 6x is only good in the morning, terribly struggles in night photography.

How on earth oppo way better ha? Genius!

It's not that much smaller than the HP9 on the Xiaomi 15 ultra and Vivo x100 ultra/x200 pro. The 6x is also not small. It's a 1/1.95" sensor which is used as the main sensor on many midrangers e.g. Poco X7 pro

NFB, 13 Mar 2025Can we say that the Oppo FX8U's camera setup is better... moreDefinitely not. Look how small the ultrawide sensor is in the X8 Ultra. Vivo will have two main camera sensors and a telephoto lens with almost the same sensor size, while Oppo will have one large sensor and three small ones, making the cameras unusable in low light, just like on my Samsung S24 Ultra. Also, Vivo will collaborate with Fujifilm and will hopefully launch a camera kit accessory, just like Xiaomi did for the 15 Ultra.

Anonymous, 13 Mar 2025Yes, it's been in use by Realme and Oppo before Samsun... moreNo, oppo at most, since 3x periscopes with 1/1,95" sensor are w-prism periscopes, not alop periscopes. Where it might have been used is reno 13 pro.

Finally a Chinese flagship phone will come with a flat screen. It suddenly seems to have dawned on the Chinese brands that the flat screen phones are popular. The OPPO find x8 was a massive suprise for OPPO and the sales are multiples higher than the Oppo Find x7. It's basically arrested their sales decline that happened with the x7 series. The Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 15 are huge sellers and a massive success for Xiaomi. Vivo's x200 has sold poorly which may be due to the micro-curved screen as it is the first time in recent years that OPPO has outsold them with their standard flagship and the find x8 has massively outsold the x200 despite Vivo flagships normally selling a lot more than OPPO in China. Next year we will see other brands also switching to flat screens for their top flagships. These microcurved screens could be one of the shortest lived trends in the smartphone world. According to leakers it seems likely that both Xiaomi and Vivo may also switch to straight screens next year, especially if the Oppo Find x8 ultra is a success
