Anonymous, 14 Mar 2025When OS becomes the virus...every app becomes virus carrier..Literally all (and I mean no exceptions) mobile OS' include telemetry (call it "spying" if you will), regardless which you pick, the only choice is WHO will be getting the data.

Lister, 14 Mar 2025No surprise about HarmonyOS, the government will be pushing... moreChina is spending a lot of money to try to boost domestic consumption to prop up their long subsidized industries. They can't keep all their economic tops spinning for much longer, so dirt cheap Chinese devices will probably disappear soon from the global market.

'Counterpoint expects HarmonyOS's market share to continue growing because the Chinese government is subsidizing smartphone sales of local brands to boost domestic production.'

Poor article here. The government is making no distinction between local and foreign brands. The government subsidy is a 15% subsidy that applies to all phones that cost 6,000rmb or less, including Apple phones and Samsung phones (the subsidy is capped at 500rmb though). If the phone costs more than 6000rmb there is no subsidy. For example the Xiaomi 15 ultra and IPhone 16 pro would have no subsidy because they are over 6,000rmb but the Xiaomi 15 pro and IPhone 16 would qualify (at least in some storage variants)

                      Android 💪💪

Once you see that it's based on quarterly numbers, it's completely predictable.
Apple always gets an uptick in Q4 because launch of new iPhones. While Android gets an uptick in Q1/Q2 due to launch of Samsung S series and A series. Rinse and repeat.
