      Battery life comparison have to be wrong. GSMArena is the only one that have 16e lost to 16. Every YouTube test including those major Chinese tech channels shows 16e winning often by a lot

                  Is not even a contest. Even the older iPhone 15 is a better choice. Or a refurbished 15 Pro.

                  I do think the 16e is a perfectly decent iPhone, just not for the price they're asking.

                    Never thought I'd say it, but Apple is becoming more like Samsung.

                      It's not like repeating it like a mantra will make it selling like hot cakes... and it'll be quite difficult to draw a global trend as Apple itself decided to not publish the figures anymore. I'm still wondering why even if I might have my idea on it. The marketing approach is always the same technique as the vanilla is for the pro model; pushing you to the higher tier for only a few more bucks. But the drawback is that sales are only slipping from one tier to the other... so I'm pretty sure Apple don't want them to sell like hotcakes, because in the end it means less vanilla sales.

                          [deleted post]Replace the word "iPhone 16e" with "literally any mediocre $599.99 Lagdroid" and you'd be absolutely right. Customers love their iPhones, especially the less expensive ones. Kids in school with iPhones will become cool kids. About 600 Lagdroids are released each year and end up in landfills. If you buy your parents an iPhone, they'll probably love you.

                              Example, the cmf phone scores good in gsma tests, but it also does irl, since I own one

                                  Counterpoint: If you buy a case with a cutout that shows the Apple logo, you're one of the cool kids. 99% of people who buy Apple don't care about any spec other than the camera, if they even care about that.

                                    The difference between 16 and 16e is tiny, who cares about display port video out or 1 fewer GPU cores on your 4 core GPU. Notch is bad but pill cut out isn't great either. Most apple users don't use their magnetic qi2 and almost zero android phones even have it. So much hysterical nonsense is written about 16e but ultimately you pay a bit less than iPhone 16, you get a bit less than iPhone 16, not sure what you were expecting but time to get over it

                                      You guys are still not wondering why your battery test on the 16e was so out of place? Still no explanation when the rest of tech community are showing better battery life for the 16e?
