Samsung turned up the style to 11 with the new A56.

I don't understand what makes this ordinary midrange Samsung feels or looks special...
...Until I tried it today in one of the Samsung store in my city. And guess what? My point still stands, I still don't understans what makes people think this phone is special, let alone better than its competitor.

            Samsung should have stayed with 20:9 aspect ratio.

              xPandamon, 5 hours agoWell, the phone isn't the issue then, you have to keep... moreits not only the issue of size. My 4 year old galaxy M51 is the same size as A56, but it has rounded edges, and so it's much more comfortable to hold, even though it's 2mm thicker.

              Because samsung copies a lot from apple, the A55 and A56 have much more squared edges which makes them more awkward to hold. Go ahead and compare these 2 phones in 3D view: A55 vs M51

You would be better off buying an S24 Plus for similar money unless you're sold on the design alone.

                          They don't, but Samsung did have said features up until this year, at least on their midrange devices, now that they've lost that, these devices are nothing special.

                              [deleted post]It's early morning here. Anyways, I was simply expecting more, after how big of an upgrade the A55 was compared to the A54, but this is just the same phone made slightly faster and without SD card slot.

My reply was for the other person who said Apple gets away with using 128gb only and I said they never had an sd card in the first place. Also, apple was the very brand that "inspired" android makers to remove existing features on their phones likes jacks and sd card slots.

                                  I wouldn't even look at it unless it's 300€ for 256GB version.

                                    I visited Samsung yesterday, the already have A56 on showscase and it looks amazing. The phone is pretty thin (A55 looks so thick compared to it), it so light, bezels look simetrical, it already runs March security patch and OneUI Home version 16.2, which makes animation amazing without good lock, so it looks much smoother comapred to S25.
