Checked the burgundy color and definitely not my for my taste.
I honestly expected that beautiful blue variant from 200p. The waves were making it so gorgeous and unique.
I wish other brands would take a look at Nubia with z series and come up with a little more unique style.
I didn't go for nubia due to weak OS support (they made it 2 years but still not good) and their camera switch while recording video is terrible. No lens switch with 4k 60fps.
However, they nail the design! Especially the Starry Night edition coming with the back panel inspired by the famous masterpiece from Van Gogh. Also that nice display. They're definitely doing an exceptional job in the market.
Xiaomi also did a good job with releasing a special Leica style one. Wishing Vivo to do sth more. I'll definitely go with x200u.

What's the expected price for it? I'm looking forward to importing one via tradinshenzen or wondamobile or similar sites? I haven't bought vivo phone before, I don't know what can be expected price at launch

Anonymous, 5 hours ago" its Origin operating system is much better optimized... moreOrigin OS is better than Funtouch OS:
Fast, with a much more attractive interface, packed with OTA updates and optimizations, and the phone's price is lower. All are advantages.
The main disadvantage is that the Chinese warranty doesn't cover you in Europe in the event of a fault, but if you buy from a reputable supplier, you won't have any problems getting your phone replaced during the warranty period.

Guys, have all of you who are talking so badly about the LYT-818 sensor and the camera performance of the vivo X200 Ultra this year totally lost your minds? We need to talk about it.
This was never a downgrade, quite the opposite! It's actually the most powerful cameraphone ever created and I'll make you see that, if you're all intellectually honest enough to understand the facts.
Let's get to the controversial issue of the choice of sensor. The LYT-818 is indeed slightly inferior to the LYT-900 in terms of raw light capture, however, as a photographer, I can assure you that it is only inferior in one final aspect after post-processing: the photo will have a slightly less organic texture and this will only be truly noticeable at 2X cropping (2 x 2 OCL) — and I've seen the most sober comparisons in this respect. For the rest, this sensor is practically the same strength and even demonstrably superior in certain respects: it's the only sensor with the new HDR technology of triple conversion gain and this precisely expands the dynamic range to a point that borders on perfection, while promoting a very good real-time HDR preview and more solid colors, as well as avoiding ghosting artifacts (by having this triple gain in a single exposure), less noise and a faster shooting capability; in addition, Sony itself has already said that this CMOS has the best noise control technology in the industry currently and this is a matter of technical analysis with professional measurements. It's pure science. We are talking about a powerful new sensor.
Do you really think that vivo would take a step backwards? Think about it: they're going to use the capacity of two LYT-818 sensors working at the same time to get results that, at the end of the day, will surpass the capacity of a single LYT-900 as the main cam and an ultrawide powered by an average JN5. This is one of Vivo's great tricks. And have you ever wondered how smooth the lens transitions will be during video recording, the color science and everything else?
It's extremely difficult to imagine a camera with a 35mm focal length (ideal for professional photographers) with such a large sensor on a phone. There are obvious physical barriers. This is already a victory. Look at the Nubia example and ask yourself if they have achieved this feat before. So it's even more difficult to achieve this balance than simply choosing LYT-900 as the main sensor
Additionally, the fact that we'll have the excellence of the LYT-818 - which has proven to be better than the IMX 989 in many situations - in an ultrawide cam is nothing less than an extraordinary milestone in the history of mobile photography. Would you rather have a disposable ultrawide forever? Vivo has broken this barrier, when it would have taken other manufacturers a long time to dare to do so.
What's more, with CIPA 5.0 professional stabilization certification on ALL CAMERAS, upgraded Zeiss lens coating and two image processing chips working togheter and a new bright lens for the telephoto cam!
That's why, for example, although Xiaomi's telephoto cam uses the same HP4 sensor as Samsung's with a 4.3x optical zoom, it is still slightly inferior to vivo X200 Pro in terms of exposure, clarity, noise and texture in a scenario where the 10x “hybrid” zoom or less is compared. Especially in night shots. The stabilization is superior, as is the Zeiss lens treatment. FCD100 is an extremely low dispersion optical glass.
How do you think the camera bump will look like if they put a 1-inch sensor plus the other two largers sensors? No way. They are still looking for solutions to this specific issue, while still innovating.
Anyway, it's not all about the size of the sensor, although it is the most important part. The LYT-818 isn't that small, so much so that many manufacturers are still using the Omnivison OV50K in their flagship cameras — and if vivo hasn't opted to use a 1/1.3 OV50K, it's because the LYT-818 is actually better. Use your brains.
Which manufacturer other than vivo is using not one, but now two chips for image enhancement, while most have none? In addition, vivo is working on creating its own sensors and its joint venture with Zeiss is very solid; they jointly have their own advanced research center. They have medium and long-term goals with the Blueprint concept. The algorithms are mature. It's not as if they were joking. vivo is really innovating in the mobile photography realm and this was strongly felt by the other manufacturers with the launch of the vivo X100 Ultra. And we should expect more innovations in the coming years. What about the partnership with Fujifilm?
Even the most prolific Chinese leakster (DCS) has the highest expectations in general — and all tech guys from China.
Wake up. I'm not glorifying vivo, but it's a fact that they're at the forefront — and now, definitely surpassing Apple in all categories, with the current video capability of the upcoming X200 Ultra. You'll all see that. It's not a downgrade, but a very balanced and smart choice.

It's better than all... more" its Origin operating system is much better optimized than Funtouch, which is why people as me import it from China to Europe, and it works perfect."
It iis never sold outside China, so bo unit would have Funtouch.
Anyway, you and other would still buy chinese variant to avoid paying the 1550 euros it would cost if sold officially in Europe, which would be about 50% more than chinese variant.

It's better than all those devices you mentioned.

No matter the kind of functions it has, I'm pretty sure it can never be better than the S25 ultra, 16 pro max and the pixel 9 pro XL, and all thanks to Samsung, Apple, and Google who are releasing their ultra flagship to the international market with greater functions.
