Some regions will get stable One UI 7 later than expected, including the US

19 March 2025
Samsung's press release claims that the rollout will start on April 7, but notes that "availability may vary by market."

It won't reach some countries until May. Australia is always at least a month behind. It won't reach other models until June onwards. Android 16 will be ready to go then.

With the way Samsung has delayed this, you'd think it was creating an entire operating system from scratch. Even the Chinese OEMs and Motorola released Android 15.

I've come a LONG ways from the days of always running custom roms, forcing my way to install the latest and greatest software on my device at the earliest possible moment. Maybe it's because I've had smart phones for so long...I simply don't care about the latest software features. Security patches must be timely though, or else work profile will be out of compliance.

I only care about stable software these days and not speed of delivery.

Yeah, but what's the point of even delivering it this late?

In the US and Canada, unlike the rest of the world, you can't even make a phone calls with your SIM on your cellular version of your Galaxy Tab A9 Plus. Because Scamsung.

This is exactly what they've been doing, which means that in the United States they're not launching the update together with other regions! Well, the new Galaxy series isn't selling as well as they expected there. I already see people upset because they just bought the S25 Ultra and Samsung is already applying discounts.

If it's a good update, stable, solid, it'll be worth the wait. But if it comes with problems, they're gonna be criticized and fairly so...

Even though the updates are coming slow, it doesn't mean it isn't going to deliver. maybe from the OneUI 8 and on, Samsung might refine their update schedule, making it available as soon as possible and also, something Samsung might take notes from apple is to release the update one at the same time for every eligible device or at least for every high-priority device such as flagships.

I and many dislike Apple, but give them credit where they deserve it, when they release a new update, it is available worldwide on all at that moment supported devices.

                            Immediately

Meanwhile my S23 will have to wait for a while longer knowing Samsung, even a simple thing like security patches do not release immediately in all regions.

                            It's beyond weird.

I guess another day, or two can't hurt anymore, but when it's after 6 months of wait..🤣🤣🤣

the way they release updates is like you should have the phone for 10 years to get 7 android upgrades because it take 1.5 years to release an os uodate
