the V series sure is no longer interesting after the V30 series, its only ever been a rebadged for the vanilla and has been a downgrade for the lite

TheSnowWinterR7, 20 Mar 2025Sigh, even the V Lite is not immune to MicroSDXC card slot ... moreWhat's even worse is that this is a lower midranger instead of an upper midranger, and the MRSP is extremely atrocious for what it offers.

*sigh
Sure, it has 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. But still, Dimensity 6300 is barely an entry level SoC at this point. And at €400? Kinda tough to swallow. I mean people who prioritize large storage over SoC would prefer buying cheaper devices with SD card slot instead of paying premium for 512GB. And it's not like FuntouchOS is a premium quality software warranting the premium price. It's not One UI.
That Infinix with D7300 for $140 is looking better and better.

DarlingYext, 20 Mar 2025Weak chipset, doesn't deserve to be in the V series.Tbh every V Lite doesn't deserve to be in the V series. V Lite is just an insult to the good name of the V series.

Chinese companies do this thing where they'll sell budget phones as "Lite" versions of their premium phones. Huawei particularly was really egregious with this, selling entry level phones in the same lineup as their €1400 flagships 😛

Meanwhile the V40 Lite (vivo Y200) was originally going to be the vivo V40e in some regions for some reason
But now, they released the Y300 as the V50 Lite globally

This smartphone should be priced €100 to €150 less. €400 for a Dimensity 6300 and an IMX882 main camera sensor is way too expensive.
