Colors are pretty and fun but did they actually update the phone and bring it into this century (or any of their phones, at least one?) with an actual UHD display instead of just making low quality pictures brighter!?!

Yeah, that's user's fault. It's a common sense to close the apps when you done using it and won't use it 5 minutes from now on. Asking user to not close the apps in the background is dmubest advice ever. Waiting for 0.3s to open an app won't hurt anyone.

In a non sweaty palm hand this thing will slide out if you're not careful and that external screen sees no safety even with a case from death.

MotoReady for desktop mode could be super edited and would Trump Samsungs Dex not being included in their Z Flip models thus far - yeah I'm annoyed either that but I'm ok for now.
Also lots of potential software using HW performance could show up demanding more than average cycles threads and procesing power or NPU power that we haven't seen yet.
Also consistent use with more RAM being used with no apps closed nor set for sleep or deep sleep does affect SoC performance load and use.

Hot take: 8 Elite is MOSTLY useless on a flip phone. Performance? 99,99% of the users won't use it's maximum performance. Even if they want, 99% chance that the performace will get limited by the manufacturers heavily.
ISP? Most companies still "limits" the camera quality on their flip phone though, for 2 reasons: 1. Limited space to implement better camera system. 2. They still want to sell their highest slab phone.
The only thing that makes 8 Elite is a good choice is because of it's efficiency (it's 3nm, after all), but ngl I'm pretty sure that any other lower 4nm chipset with lower clockspeed will just do.
Again, this is just my opinion. Feel free to agree or disagree.

Remember the last one Razr Ultra had the 8s gen 3, which has a different core layout and weaker GPU compared to the 8 gen 3. Theres surely an 8s Elite coming, and there's already an 8 Elite variant that drops a performance core.
