My wired IEMs have the best *passive* noise cancellation I have ever seen, the tips are so good at shielding external noise. ANC just feels to me like a gimmick at best, dangerous at worst.

        I call bs that such studies list ALL headphones by all manufacturers/OEMs nor their supported frequency ranges. Let alone ear size n shape or long term or short term effects, or if double blind in lab real world outside or car or bus or subway testing was done at all. Again short or long term.


        I just listed several variables that will split a researchers head in 2 due to combinations. If not even HALF of what I mentioned is included in ALL these studies then I calm pure BULL!

        I've worn headphones in public almost every year since I was 10yrs old. Save maybe 4yrs here and there in total . That's 42yrs of my life!

        No BULL as I was 8yr old when the first Sony Walkman debut (cassette) and my first Walkman imported was a WM-10. Never had hearing problems.
