kisanastra, 23 Mar 2025Should I buy Poco? Statistically it looks good, but the OS.... moreThink as hyperOS as Iphone with a twist

There's no point in giving that kind of performance if the phone still has USB-C 2.0 without wired video output and Desktop Mode support. At this point, it should be illegal for any smartphone with a flagship chipset to have that particular USB-C speed.

Akashi Seijuro, 22 Mar 2025"only boasts about performance" I got my Redmi... morei agree xiaomi poco phones are generally good for 2-4 yeara of uae i have used redmi note 5 pro for many years then upgraded to redmi note 7 pro then poco x3 and now usong poco f5 since 2 years they are all value for money amd good quakity smartphones without breaking the bank

I reckon that most of the people who are the type to typically buy Poco's are going to be the most interested in the vanilla - or, barring that, the Pro.

I know I am, depending on the price delta.

looking at that performance either lacking better heatsink/vaporchamber or lower quality binned chips
well if this nicely priced it can surely be a hit phone this year

If you added a brand new replacement battery then I believe every single word you wrote ;)

Akashi Seijuro, 22 Mar 2025"only boasts about performance" I got my Redmi... moreCould not agree more, my phone Redmi K20 Pro (SD 855) which I got in 2019 is still running fine after all these years and can handle pretty much everything. I was sure that down the line I would need to replace the battery in 3/4 year but even now I still get around 5/6 hour SOT which is more than fine since now I use it as my secondary phone. I am considering to upgrade from my main phone Redmi K60 Pro to this F7 Ultra. Gonna wait a bit to see few review and actual user experience.

Lowemon, 22 Mar 2025I never liked Poco at all. I'm not a fan of phone that... more"only boasts about performance"

I got my Redmi K30 5G about 4 years ago, for dirt-cheap price of $300 (during its time). Granted, it wasn't the best in terms of display, camera, and audio quality, but its performance was surely amazing and arguably on top in its class. What's the benefit? 4 years later, it's still keeping up with most of the apps and demanding tasks that I can run on it, heck it even still feels snappier, faster, and more responsive than a brand-new $200 budget phone today with SD685 and lower.
Thanks to that "boasted powerful SoC," I can still perfectly use this phone today, and possibly for the next 2 to 3 years to come, which I can't say the same for those that used weaker SoCs during the same time, in comparison.

While it is true that other parameters are just as important, we all know what Xiaomi's Poco brand is known for: near-flagship performance without breaking the bank. Of course, it should be a common sense already that when getting a Poco smartphone, performance is a top priority with most, if not all of them, and then the other things would come secondary. If you wish to find a more balanced device, you definitely shouldn't be looking for a Poco device at all, because you already know their main strength and priority in every single phones that they sell.

Will this phone become a cheapest SD 8 Elite in my country?
