Realme 14T surfaces early: a 5G phone with an IP69K rating and 100W fast charging

21 March 2025
The phone appeared on Realme's store on AliExpress, which may have lifted the veil earlier than the company intended.

pl2rts, 21 Mar 2025I wonder when will come the time when 5G is already so norm... moreaverage non tech savvy people mostly have a 4G phone. hence they still make 5G special like if it's 2019. even some phones sacrificed so many features like cameras, display or even worse storage types. for the sake of 5G marketing hype.

overkill charging, ip69k. but ruined with e waste chipset

Bluewave, 22 Mar 2025False, this Realme 14 T 5G has mediatek 7300 and 45 watt fa... more45W Charger is un-impressive, when every Poco M6 Pro from 2024 have had a max. 67W charger - and being included into the box...nowadays for like 140 bucks.

jerem06, 22 Mar 2025They tire me out with their 50 variations that serve no purpose. Some models are for specific regions/markets, but of course it looks silly when we look at the overall lineup. But that's typical Chinese OEMs. They all do that, pushing a ton of models on the market flooding it to confuse consumers. And these are all ODM phones, meaning Realme is not doing much other than slapping their brand and give the OS to the ODM.

Elsewhere they say a MediaTek 6300, and no mention of 100 W fast charging. This makes sense considering the target market going by the camera setup.

They have however, copied Xiaomi with making it 14T. The 14T has better specs, but targets the same market. So Realme are likely hoping people by it by association. Dishonest selling practice.

I guess this replaces what used to be the base Realme number series model...?

pl2rts, 21 Mar 2025I wonder when will come the time when 5G is already so norm... moreIt's supposed to be normal already. Technically nobody is making anymore 4G SoC. G99/G100 is the last 4G SoC from mediatek, with ancient A76 cores.

Why do you think OEMs are still using Snapdragon 685? 😅

pl2rts, 21 Mar 2025I wonder when will come the time when 5G is already so norm... moreUntil 4G phones are no longer getting produced I guess?

When I look for Infinix Hot 50 on this website, I'm a bit confused. I legitly thought "why would a 4G phone uses Dimensity 6300" until I realized they treat the 5G one as the "default" one. They named the 5G one as "Hot 50" and the 4G one as "Hot 50 4G", even though in Infinix Official Store in my country, 4G is default one here and named as "Infinix Hot 50", and the 5G one named "Infinix Hot 50 5G".

so well as long as it has an above 90% screen to body
ratio and an accept able price range i dont mind either
of the two variant s & better still if it come s with an ips

                        !

pl2rts, 21 Mar 2025I wonder when will come the time when 5G is already so norm... moreI read in some news outlet that South Korea started with 6G more than 2 years ago.

I wonder when will come the time when 5G is already so normal that you dont need to mention it in the news title.

Like seriously now that all come with 5G and the rare ones are with 4G that are mostly only in the budget to low end middle class phones

We already soon have 6G and still talking about 5G like it's something special to mention

Another day, another superfluous Realme model.

Oppo sure loves slapping ov50d into lower-end phones.
