Compared to its predecessor, this phone has a larger 6,000mAh battery (up from 5,500mAh), the same screen size (albeit lower res), and faster charging (90W vs. 80W).

The only 2 things that come to mind are improper optimisation and most importantly, poor display efficiency. The V40 and V30 had essentially the same display but they switched it out this year. That's the biggest variable here i think.

Even then, it just doesnt make much sense to me, they've used the same chip for a little while now, how can the latest one be worse lmao and it's not like Vivo's getting worse at optimising each year, they're getting better. Perplexing.

    Weird results. But I remember you've had a few misteps before in recent reviews. I say it again: this battery test 2.0 of yours has proven to be less reliable than the previous version and can differ a lot in consitency compared to tests done by other reviewers. Maybe take a look into it.
