In which universe is normal to buy tablet for 500 euros with 2019 level of performance? Why would anyone buy this crap instead of iPad? 🙂

To arm discussion - x86 is not the problem. The windows os is. Arm won't help Microsoft and it won't get more customer attention than it has now. You can't downgrade and expect better acceptance.

Luke, 27 Mar 2025But you are losing the compatibility.. windows on arm isn&#... moreWindows ARM is slowly getting more native software. There's no escaping from the fact that ARM still has better energy efficiency, even if it's a desktop OS like Windows. If you think that way, Apple would've stuck to x86 for their MacBook laptops. But alas, they didn't. Also, Windows ARM has been around as early as 2017.

I know there are some parts of the UI that's not designed for touch screen, but ngl I'd rather live with that rather than unable to install desktop apps on my tablet.

These pads are targeted towards Students who need to spend another 80$ to get a pen, and other Android pads have sub-par pens with no good note-taking app, which Samsung has natively. This tab is going to sell well among students.

Expensive . Way too expensive. Especially with exynos.

Android looks more and more closed cumbersome awkward spyi OS, similar to Apple's walled garden nowadays. It's as expensive but for less of hardware. So why..

No one can wake up and kick'into this market ? Chinese are sleeping too ? Euros, we have been DOA for a long time now.

Strange times. sorry for the rent.

And oh yeah those "S-series gud, A-series bad" fanboy would be mad because their lovely Tab S caste dropped to the A series. They don't want it to happen, despite how underperforming the Tab S6 Lite is.

Luke, 26 Mar 2025Kind of understand where you are coming from, but there are... moreGeez if only I'm not broke enough I'd rather get a tablet running on Windows (like the Surface Pro or Ideapad Duet) rather than a tablet running on Android or iPadOS. Yes, even if you brought something like the Tab S10 Ultra or iPad Pro M4.
In the end, no matter how "unoptimized" Windows is, it's still an OS made for desktop, means it's superior to any of it's "phone OS-based" competitor. There are more apps on Windows designed for big screen than on Android or iPadOS.
Idc, if I spent more than $1000 for a tablet, I want it to be as capable as my laptop for sure.

It's a pretty big mystery how Samsung plans to sell the S10 FE *starting* at €580, considering there are excellent alternatives from Xiaomi and Lenovo at nearly half the price. Maybe they don't really plan to sell many of them in the first place.
