Anonymous, 28 Mar 2025Nah rather trust OnePlus 13R. Poco build quality is never t... moreI used my Poco F1 for 6 years, now my Poco F5 for almost 2 years. How about your OnePlus?

One thing that may just be a "me" thing, is the under display ultrasonic fingerprint reader in the F7 Pro and Ultra.

I'm not an expert with under display FP sensors (currently still rocking an F3), but I have read that they don't work so well with glass screen protectors.

Personally I am a fan of glass protectors. I like the touch experience of glass as my finger glides over it smoothly, and optically nothing else is clearer or allows more light and colour to get through than glass.

Your screen is the part of the phone that you actually touch all day long and how you interact with your phone, and I don't like the slight reduction in clarity and luminance or the slight increase in glide friction that can come with silicon, even if they are sometimes *almost* as good as glass. They never quite manage to match it in those respects in my experience.

The X7 Pro has an optical sensor, so for people like me, that is one more reason to maybe save a few bucks and get that instead, especially given the relatively negligible difference in processor speed between the SD 8 Gen 3 and the MTK 8400, amongst other things.

NGC2841, 28 Mar 2025planning to upgrade to it but im so disappointed that they ... moreIf your phone plug in on your desk to screen and keyboard and then be a personal computer then i can somewhat understand the need of more storage but if you dont then what you need the storage so much and why must it be full ?

Just make a home server that have like 20TB of storage and you can connect in it trough wifi to move your files. There is also these USB 3.2 ssd sticks that have like 500MB read and write or even 1000MB read and write speeds.

Holding all your life in one device and then need to move these files every after few years would be a real pain

So you basically have 70% of your storage full of data that you pretty much never use but it's the need to have that data with you or something. Just wasting space in a phone and then go cry that there is not enough space and cant expand.

The need to hoard data is the problem you need to solve and not more storage or expandable storage

You can like a brand, but having a common sense is important. Poco has something that Samsung doesn't, so does vice versa. You can't force a company to include something that other company has and makes that other company "different".

planning to upgrade to it but im so disappointed that they entirely removed the 1TB variants🤧 i do hate the modern upper Midrandge phones these days there's literally no way you could expand the storage so it's always viable to get the maximum storage capacity at the best and they removed it

500$ in us and 600 euros in Europe is a big difference for the phone....

cyclinator, 27 Mar 2025You ever had poco? Poco F5 is late 5 months on Hyper OS 2.0... moreI can't complain about security updates as i got January update in February and February update a week ago or so.

The OS update is indeed annoying to be so late. They at first talk that in December then January and then was February but we are in the end of March now and still no A15 update and yes it will be the last android update that is also a bit sad as they just needed to give 3 OS updates half a year later with the X6 Pro release while they should of started it with F5 cause of the performance boost with the chip made a jump

Never mind that they basically messed up F series with the X6 Pro with D8300 that was like 200k points more in Antutu v10 over F5 and with F6 the performance was a bit better over D8300 but not enough to make sense. Like X5 Pro was with SD778 and went against the F series that had SD870

Now F series is more expensive while not a lot more attractive to get as the higher price wont get you much more in anything basically

Poco F series Pro is the worst of the 3. More expensive over base F phone but not a lot much more that it gives you. Just better cpu and some features cause of the better cpu.

To be honest they should of just made the Pro with the Ultra specs but only use the SD 8 gen 3 to get the price down.

Anyways the best bang for buck from Poco will be now X Pro
F base model wont get you much more over the D8400 performance and the over 100 euro higher price dont make sense or is explained well. Same like the F Pro is not well explained the higher price of over 100 euro just to have better chip that then support more of the camera features that the base F chip dont support.

You ever had poco? Poco F5 is late 5 months on Hyper OS 2.0 and seemingly it will be it´s last. If something is wrong with it, then you have it forever. Security updates barely every 2-3 months. Still ugly Poco icons. Bad bugs like I cant swipe with single finger to unroll notification detail. Locking down the OS.
