Wow, the Amazfit Bip was always one of my favourite fitness trackers (switched to it after the Mi Band 4 and never looked back). It would be criminal if they had an AMOLED screen but not an always-on display.
This new Bip 6 is no longer just a fitness tracker, but a full-blown smartwatch as well. Personally, I prefer that they remain distinct categories as each has its own niche.
Smartwatches are for people who basically want a portable phone on their wrists, at the cost of terrible battery life (barely a day or two) while fitness trackers are meant for people who want to wear it and forget about it, and don't care about any of those features, just a long battery life. I remember my Amazfit Bip (I got it in the orange watch+blue strap colourway) lasted 45 days even with the always-on display, sleep tracking and heart-rate tracking enabled.

I am a big fan of square smartwatches, so this is a nice addition. Amazfit Bip line was always square watches but they seemed cheap and plasticky. Bip 6 looks so much better! If only it had NFC for contactless payments (via Amazfit Zepp Pay and Curve tandem) and it would be perfect. Unfortunately NFC is exlusive to Amazfit Balance. Hoping it treacles down to Bip 7 lineup.

Price good for such device but this is just gimmick not worth to trown money in.
However, it's worth mentioning that the Bip 6's retail package comes bundled with a charging base compatible with USB-C but doesn't include a charging cable. Reason? Sustainability.

Seems it will not have Qi nor Qi2 wireless charging... I'll have to wait again

Having both offline maps and the ability to reply to text messages with voice dictation for less than £80 is quite a compelling low-cost option in the fitness tracker space.
