      The ipad mini 2024 still the only 8 inch tablet with a fast cpu and with cellular connectivity. The last Android tablet that competed in this segment was Huawei before they were banned.

            high-end or not it will just be another LCD plus wi-fi only tablet coming out from china. just don't understand why it's so difficult to put in sim support for this chinese made tablet and proper software support eg xiaomi recently launched pad 7 series only get 2 OS update & LCD & no sim support again but the prices are increased. honestly I won't buy it coz I rather spend a few hundred more getting a galaxy tab S would be more worthwhile.

                Make with this criteria
                1. Oled
                2. 16:10
                3. same size thinner bezel, not like now.. my OCD cannot take it
                4. Samsung like global ROM
                5. If possible, fold it like pura X..

                That will make it best mini tablet

                  This good be good if it has dual sim (or sim + esim), phone calls and SMS. Just like Samsung Galaxy Tab Active5 5G (EU version).

                    There was a lot of things missing from the last one:

                    -no 3.5mm port (a lot of headsets people go out and buy for competitive gaming still use this connector, now it has a second USB-C so this isn't quite as bad as on other tablets but should have both, it's not like they don't have the room)

                    -no mobile data connection, which would be a nice option for online / cloud gaming

                    -no SD card, which would be nice for emulators (again not like they don't have the room, the 2023 model had it)

                    -no fingerprint reader, which is a joke in 2025 at any price point (face unlock though is an option if you like being hacked but it's an inexcusable omission)

                    -no OLED... I'm on the fence for that one honestly, it's a way nicer screen but anyone PWM sensitive would be turned off by it so I can at least understand that one

                      I don't know how keen you are on following tech but Linux is almost caught up to windows for gaming and in some titles is even better, Android Emulation on Linux is already superior to Emulation on windows and once Linux on ARM chips gets popular (which is likely not too far considering products like NVIDIA Jetson Orin are ARM64 based and quite affordable too) Windows gaming won't have the same dominance in PC gaming anymore.

                      Linux is more efficient, easy to tinker with and community oriented which is something you can't say about Windows.

                      Right now the big hurdle for Android Emulation on Linux is getting reliable ARM translation with Libhoudini or Libndk for AMD, with ARM SoCs, that won't be an issue anymore and easily open the gates to millions of Android apps on Linux.

                      I'm not speculating either, I already have Ubuntu 24.10 installed on my laptop with Waydroid 15 and short of not being able to install libndk (my lack of experience likely), the experience is phenomenal, games that do run are butter smooth without even using the discrete NVIDIA GPU (nvidia experience on linux isn't friendly anyway)

                            I wouldn't care less if it still ships with Android 15 out of the box.

                              Pick one. Flagship tablets absolutely should not be having LCD displays anymore. I don't care whatever bells and whistles it may have, because it will always be inferior compared to an OLED. If it's a MiniLED LCD display, then it might have a case (proper HDR is possible, black levels are very close to OLEDs and the brightness is very good), but they're far too rare on tablets (practically only Apple has tried this and now they're using OLED) and come with their own set of downsides (blooming, still relatively high power draw, display module is thicker, inferior colour production).

                                Sadly lcd screen. Bigger battery won't make a difference, when "black" require more power than actual black color. But it's nice to see someone making flagships under 11".

                                  Surface Pro is great hardware ruined by windows and poor native Arm apps selection on windows.

Wifi is everywhere and I still got a phone in my pocket which can be easily used as a hotspot. Eventually cancelled my plan for the tablet as I dont use mobile data at all

                                        change the chipset is normal. please make different, add simcard slot in this tablet and call function.
