Alcatel phones usually go faulty within 15 days, issues like freezing and touch etc. thousands of pple have same issue. hope all is good on this model. GANPAT PATIL @ IRRIGATION OFFICER

It's doesn't matter whether it's is an Alcatel or TCL! which phones other than Moto, is not made in China? Ultimately it's down to pricing matches the spec, I hate paying a premium just because of it's Sam or i!

Alcatel One Touch is a brand under TCL, a Chinese company (a huge one at that). Don't confuse it with the French company.
Secondly, dont expect a Qualcomm S4 CPU.. its all Mediatek in here.
The Idol Alpha is a nice take on SOny Xperia SP's design, and i must say, it looks a lot better than the Xperia SP.
I seriously dont mind Mediatek Quad Cores..they are solid mid range SoC and with a decent PowerVR SGX 545 GPU (but only 280Mhz or so)They are also cheaper yet better performing than Qualcomm S4 Play (S200) seen in some overpriced HTC phones. Though it fares behind S4 Plus (S400) with Adreno 305

Am guessing the 1.5 Ghz Quad core is the Snapdragon S4 Pro. If not it can be the Mediatek Quad-core A7s at 1.5ghz. Hope it is not the latter.
