Not at all, there are people living in US and this news might just be for them.

        FYI, T-Mobile had a permanent price lock. I say "had" because they went back and raised everyone's prices anyway (while advertising that they don't do that). Verizon is generally the nastiest US carrier, so I expect them to find a way out of this before the 3 years are up. Could be as simple as requiring all new activations to be done on a new, more expensive plan once this promo expires.
