          Well my phones usually also last 3-5 years. But in the past i changed phones cause i was young and wanted new things as the phones went from black&white screens to color screen and then to touchscreen

          But now when i am older i dont think the way of future proofing. Buying a lower cost phone last also 5 years no problems. I dont really understand what is there to take care of the phone ? I have a case on the phone and i rarely ever drop my phone.

          For long lasting i just need to look more in the middle class hardware and not the bottom of middle class like these Antutu v10 score 600k but around 1 million to something like 1.5 million be more then enough to last and wont slow down even up to 10 years probably.as the budget and middle class dont much advance in hardware performance. Just looking back from 7 years ago when my low end middle class was something 130k in antutu v8 so in antutu v10 be like 200k and the budget phones even now are around 300k to 500k while majority of middle class is still around 500k to 900k scores.

              Pretty safe to say there will be no FE model this year due to the introduction of the Edge.

                        In my country there is a limit on how old the phone can be to get the price cut with it and mostly it's half of the used phone price they take the cut on the new phone price and it's like only 3-4 years old model phones. For something S5 Neo they wont give us any price cut and would laugh at as expecting it.

                        And a lot of people dont want to do a lot of scheming to get discounts.
                        Why even do all of that to get something cheaper. Just get a cheaper phone in the first place. It's not like you need the top end phone when you wont ever use more then 10% that the phone is able to do for you so what is the point ?

                            The S25 Ultra will be more expensive than the older generations. Even if the Edge won't sell, it will do the job - to bump up the Ultra's price!

                              Since H1 2024, all oems knew about the iphone 17 air.
                              Now, those in love with apple ( samsung + few chinese) are rushing to bring thin phones too.

                              I like thin phones , like 6.5-6.9mm, but not with overpowered SoCs that generates tons of heat. Brands at least should start with midranges to see if market accepts phones with some compromises in exchange

                                  Zte is working on thin phone that may be called Redmagic 10 Air .
