xPandamon, 08 Apr 2025Another phone with hideous rounded corners.. It looks awful... moreI'd rather have a 16:9 display instead of a tall display with rounded corners, but to each their own. That's why I'm not keen in buying a new phone.

If the price is right, this is gonna be an excellent phone and could be the perfect competitor for the S25 and the Pixel 9 Pro.

It's so good compared to Hyper OS which I'm using now and is rubbish for translation. Also allows instant transfer of files to iPhones which is handy for me as my wife will only use iphones

Another phone with hideous rounded corners.. It looks awful on the iPhone, on the Pixel, on this one, too.

The display will be LTPS rather than LTPO according to humours. I hope they implement LTPO. That little guys would be the battery champ if they use LTPO.

Hmmm, they might have used silicone carbide battery . I think they should not remove alert slider.

OnePlus seems to have slimmer bezels than the iPhone

hopefully the display panel will be a very efficient one.

I then looked at my daughter's iPhone and noticed that that's how iOS does it. That pretty much put me off buying an Oppo, OnePlus or Realme phone. Apart from it being a blatant copy of iOS, it just doesn't make sense. It's harder to make minor adjustments when the sliders are so short.

Spec sheet reads pretty similar to Vivo X200 Pro Mini.. except the underwhelming camera setup. Would have preferred the phone more if it had a lower-tier processor (SD8G3) and slightly smaller battery (~5500 mAH), but the full camera setup from OP13.

This year Oppo is going all out on copying the IPhone for flagship series phones in particular. They've even made their software very compatible with IOS. It's working too as the OPPO find x8 is their best selling flagship series phone of all time by a distance. Personally happy to see this approach as I was getting really sick of all these curved screens. The best thing about iPhones is they never launched a curved screen phone and they always had options that weren't too large
