Recently I found out Philips can know when you turned on your Philips TV and connected it to the Internet, ANY and ALL Philips TVs EVERYWHERE, and that alone is terrifying.
I have removed Facebook permission to use the microphone on my phone and still if I even talked to someone face to face and not over a call, ONCE, about something, Facebook will give me ads about that something. it will not give me ads about that if I did not talk about it but someone else in the vicinity did meaning it also KNOWS it is ME and not a random street conversation.
So why the fk would I want a robot visually recording every inch of my house on top of all that?!?!?!?

It sounds useless, how is it better than a proper Alexa set-up?

HopeFilledIdiot, 09 Apr 2025Sounds similar to "Wall-E"Wall-E would definitely be my idea of a good AI/Robotic companion. Much more useful, and way more cuter, too. This thing is like a ball with wheels or a 1950's space helmet. Ripe for a drop-kick across the room, should one get bored...

Korean and USA peoples get so lonely that they need a A. I companion robot !
Is all humans are gone in these countries ? What about dog and cats ? Why these Terminators stealing pets job ? Is keeping pets not trend anymore ?

A Roomba with basic collage and a Bluetooth speaker/assistant, around a loved design like Hello Kitty or Haro from Gundam would be hilarious.

I don't mind a little robot companion in my house, even one that's powered by what they're calling AI nowadays. I DO mind if it has to stay connected to the cloud all the time, and I mind even more if Google is holding my data.

What ever happened to localized technology? Does everything have to be connected to the cloud anymore? Why can't manufacturers like Samsung offer a hub of sorts that doesn't need the cloud and can control all your smart home devices? I would invest in that, if they offered it!

Now, they claim that Gemini is built-in, but I wonder how much of it is really "built in"? Can it still work without a persistent internet connection?🤔

Unfortunately, pricing is still a mystery, but we definitely don't expect Ballie to be cheap.
Since first introduction back 5,5 years ago up until now plus all research and a developement put in.
I expect it will cost no less tahn 1500-2500 eur.

                          Sounds similar to "Wall-E"

ai tech bros are going to go crazy over this one

Dunno about this one. I don't dislike the idea of an AI companion robot, but that thing looks more like a toy or an appliance than any "companion".

I would like to see something that's actually companion-able, with a design that makes you go "awwwww". Or else it's easy to ignore and forget.

There are actually a few AI companion robots from China that look much cuter. Forgot the names, but you can buy them on Aliexpress for around $600.

                                Late April Fools?
