Ah samsung, you've sold us the same phone 3 years running and after making folks wait months for its latest software youve have managed to completely mess up the 7 roll-out..
Comically bad.

I honestly wander sometimes why do we need this OneUI at all?
All it does is to slow down the update path, introduce extra bugs and make certain things slower and harder for what?
Some flashy options and extra apps that anyone could get from third-parties?
It doesn't even sync some of them properly when you transfer across devices and not all of them are superior to what's on the market from Microsoft and Google.
Can't we just get a model with S2x hardware and the option for a vanilla Android instead (and no, some prefer Samsung's hardware to Pixel's one)?

The battery icon on the AOD (Always-On display) display is not moving.
            Therefore, it is burning.

For a lambda user with a standard usage i have of my S24, right after the update i noticed my weather widget wasn't transparent anymore and battery level in the top right corner looks ugly.
I had no problem with my phone before (lags etc..) and i haven't tried the new added functions, but bad impression for the things the most displayed on my phone daily.

S24 ultra may be my last android phone. Samsung is very much slow to provide OS updates. I was iphone user, now I feel frustrated why switching to android.

Yes, I had to point that last part out, because what kind of jobless person spends his day on something that doesn't remotely concern him/her?

But that's besides the point, because there are way more flagships with rounded corners than there are with sharp corners. So, going by your logic, moving to rounded corners is a way bigger change, Samsung must have carried out a research and found out that overwhelming percentage of buyers don't like sharp corners.

That should settle it, but knowing you, you'll still counter with a silly argument contradicting yourself yet again.

Like I told the "DarlingYext", they're just haters with time on their hands.

Would I have preferred it came faster? Yes. Is the delay bothering me? Nah, why should it when my phone is running fine and is not exactly lacking in the feature department? There's also no particular feature on android 15 that is really compelling to me, so why should I be hopped-up? I rarely rush to update my phone anyway. I usually give it a week or two to read reactions/reviews/experiences before updating.

Give them time (2-3 months) and wait for a stable usable release (which is already rolling out). Please re-read my other comments carefully.

DarlingYext, 11 Apr 2025"Google's AOSP 15 in September isn't magical... moreOne UI 7's scope (massive Vulkan overhaul + huge changelog) was likely far bigger and more complex than those of other skins. Samsung tests this across 70+ devices while also managing possible internal restructuring with its chip/screen/camera businesses.

And these Chinese competitors risk far less global backlash for buggy, unusable updates. Samsung, as the company selling the most phones globally (which is different from being "best," a claim I never made), chooses to prioritize stability over speed, not a big deal.
