These older Samsung devices will receive One UI 7 stable update starting next week

If its in the eligible list then not long. Samsung going in quick now and releasing it all on schedule

      So Samsung did it they released it on S24 series, and now they on track for s23 series, and now S22 series end of this month too. And so far no massive bugs that they have to pause the release.

      Yes they took their time building One UI 7 from the ground up, but once they started releasing it, it spreads quick.

      Other android OEMS take note, feel sorry for these chinese fanboys and Samsung haters and their excuses when Android 16 is released and Samsung dont need to take as long with their update to be released ;)

      By the end of next month there be more Samsung flagship devices on One UI 7 then Xiaomi flagship devices with Android 16 LOL

      Ooooh thats gotta burn the haters. Samsung took their time and they delivered the best Android 16 update out of everyone

      Cant waitto hear the excrement they come out with

        But blindly defending the consumer is not the real solution, neither is blindly defending a company, it should be based on each case separately.

        What they said is true, but what they didn't mention is that bad design could also be a fault (like Xperia 5 series having those issues)

        Also the consumers don't always say the truth either, I lost the count of how many times I have seen someone use their phone in sea water or a pool (pools often use chemicals) and then complain their phone "is fake waterproof".

        Every defect should be a per case basis, that is the only balanced way.

            Also again not having a go but re battery life ive seem a bunch of comments stating the opposite.. hoping this is a fresh install thing anyways will find out!

                          Anonymous, 13 Apr 2025Half the world still doesnt have ui 7 for the 24 series..th... moreActually the reason why Samsung is late to update devices to Android 15 n One UI 7 is because they switched the rendering pipeline from OpenGL to Vulkan natively. That implies whole of the OS and the ui part as well is running on Vulkan natively.
                          The reason for delay is they removed the OpenGL code from Kernel part as well and made it lighter as well.
                          This has significantly improved the performance as well as battery life.
                          I doubt any other manufacturer would have done this as except Samsung everyone is still using OpenGL atm.
                          Please search for the same. It would have been nice if GSMArena wrote an article covering this aspect as well.

                          Android supported Vulkan from Android 9 but not in rendering pipeline. Just the gpu aspect for games, that too if they supported.
                          Google during Android 15 launch said that currently 85% of the devices running android support vulkan and that's why they are pushing for it to be the default renderer.
                          Samsung changing their whole OS code and optimising One UI 7 to run with vulkan is a pretty big thing in android world.
                          But people will rant and not understand any of this.
                          There are so much differences that has made the ui so much lighter and faster. Battery life has significantly improved.
                          I say kudos to samsung for doing something they could have just said no to and done this for next years flagship but hey here they are. Late to the party but prepared for android 16, 17 and the next.

Do you really think that you'll get just 1 year of OS update and done? Samsung has promised every single phone a minimum of 3 years OS update and 4 years security update. It's been a while since they said this. Probably 2021 or earlier

                                        Never had a samsung myself so I don't know about those issues too much, but what that other comment didn't mention is that samsung is not the only one getting green lines though.

                                        Luckly I only had twice bad luck, my old Xperia 5 II had it (but it seems most Xperia 5 phones are cursed to get a green line).

                                        2 phones later my Xiaomi 14 got it after I fell asleep with genshin on (the phone never went to sleep which it should have)

                                        So it's not only Samsung having these issues, they probably have more complaints due to more people having one.
