ProMaxUltraAreBricks, 19 Apr 2025We need to stop churning out huge mountains of disposable m... moreMaybe some people don't want flagship specs if they just use the phone as an actual phone? Mid-range is a space for people to have something thats not cheap junk, but without breaking bank. Even if you could afford a flagship, there's no reason to buy one if you're just going to use it for communication. Hell if dumbphones had messaging apps, I'd use a dumb phone instead.

1989, 20 Apr 2025Then nothing is sewage. What is better than poco software i... moreNope, i am too big to deal with garbage software full of crappware that shatters to peaces when uninstalling via adb, if you know what that means😉. Everything Software on a Nothing pjone is better then poco, and xiaomis all together. As for hardware, i have problems accepting a device with last year flagship cpu and low level/ low qaulity anything else. But i understand, you like it so much you feel the need to make some promoting for it everywhere you find a comment section. As you can see tough, not to many people care about your poco.😉

You cant be serious dude.
I wouldnt buy S23 even for 200 euros because will have no warranty on it and after many recommended updates its battery endurance would be much worse than any other new phone at 200 euros price range.

ProMaxUltraAreBricks, 19 Apr 2025We need to stop churning out huge mountains of disposable m... moreWhile i give you right, i actually no not find mid-ragers to be garbage, they actually very good this days. Also buying a second hand phone has a lot of variables, how does the battery do? Does the device have hardware problems? How bad is the case after the last user? Is there any warranty? Buying a new device that is an older model, like 2 years old is still costly and the updates suppport shrinks whiles the glue-shut battery still aged and lost some capacity power So yeah, mid-rangers some-how still make sense, especially when they drop prices after 6 months.

1989, 19 Apr 2025Nope. Poco crushes them. Nothing is waste like those other ... moreSorry, but when we talk waste or ewaste, poco is definetly first on the list, together with most chinese brand that release a device every 2 minutes.... nothing is quite good actually, especially at software in comparison.

In a world where most popular phone brands release phones full of bloatware and adware, Nothing offers a relatively refreshing option that's simple and quirky.
I tend to keep phones for a long time. My previous 2 phones were a Huawei P20 and a Samsung Galaxy S5. Three years ago, when I was looking to buy a new phone, I came across Nothing. My other option was a Poco, which looked nice and good for its price, but I admit the quirkiness of the Nothing Phone 1 led me to take the risk and just buy it.
I must say that throughout the years, I have seen a lot of improvements. When the Nothing Phone 1 was first released, it was almost stock android. Year by year, update by update, Nothing has added features and basic apps. The very few (and insignificant) bugs and glitches were always fixed. The phone has character and is a curiosity for new people I meet that don't know about it or have never seen it live.
After almost 3 years now, it still performs well. The only problem is that the battery has deteriorated more than I'd expect/like it to. If that issue didn't exist, I'd definitely keep it for another 1-2 years. I'm considering switching to Nothing Phone 3 this summer. It's going to have better specs, the software is guaranteed to be improved even more in future updates etc. I'm only worried about two things: first is the price (anything more than 700 euros would be a stretch for me) and the second is the LED design. I'm not a fan of what they've done with their budget a phones design wise so I'm hoping the design stays closer to what the Nothing Phone 1 and 2 offered.
TL;DR: I'm satisfied with the NP1's functionality, software and character and I will seriously consider buying the NP3 if the price and design are to my liking. While the price might not be such a deal compared to other phones (especially chinese brands such as xiaomi and subsidiaries like poco) I think that the lack of bloatware and character of the phone make up for the price difference. I do not understand the harsh criticisms and malice I've been seeing in all Nothing related posts' comments these past 3 years. Why are you so salty? Get over it
