Here's how thin the iPhone 17 Air is, in-hand

It also gets compared to the other members of the iPhone 17 family.

people need smaller phones not thinner, if you can't hold it with one hand and use it, it's not a phone

I hope it won't be the trend, but no I don't have to sleep forever, and thanks but I won't either. I'm just not gonna buy into the thinness trend.

            Compromised DoA fashion fisherprice phone

DarlingYext, 2 hours agoStill comes with a huge camera bump, and one that only hous... moreHate the bar camera too, 16e-like camera style would have been better. At least it's not a giant black circle eating the whole back of the phone like most Chinese ones.

And one great 50mp camera is enough for most users to take good photos and especially video, beating phones with only a similar main sensor and a bunch of useless decorative/macro/depth/color 2MP lenses any day.

Let's hope Apple actually "innovated" enough to make this thin device not bend in half, we'll see.

I see no point in thinner phones unless they have folding form factor

Still comes with a huge camera bump, and one that only houses a single mediocre camera. Pointless fragile device.

I don't see any advantages with this new trend.
Smartphone industry has been there long time ago and departed from it.

Pabliell, 3 hours ago5.65 mm is "scary thin"? Please... Vivo X5 Max fr... moreYes, in recent years, companies have become lazy, improving components by simply making them bigger. But look at foldables : once bricks, now a bit sleeker.

Now, this new iPhone Air isn't some groundbreaking "Apple innovation", it's a long-overdue return to actual innovation : shrinking those bulky components back to a reasonable size. While still improving them, and next, maybe even make them smaller and better.

Making today's powerful tech sleek again after a decade of bulkiness.

I am missing the point of these thin phones with camera hump, why not make rear side flush without hump and use that space for extra battery? People really care more about how thin the phone is than how long it can last on battery?

5.65 mm is "scary thin"? Please... Vivo X5 Max from 2014 was 5.1 mm thick and still had a headphone jack.

"Innovation" by Apple. Nothing but a joke.
