European Commission fines Apple and Meta over breached DMA rules

Chopping the untouchable. EU is the best!

    It’s the same cycle every time—penalty, appeal, another penalty, another appeal... and still no real consequences or changes. If the EU really wants results, just block Apple, Meta...from selling anything in the market until they comply. You’d be amazed how fast things would get 'fixed' when revenue’s on the line.

          where is user's data security and privacy in this.
          first they need to make sure devs follows strick data and privacy policy and genuine download with less price for their app and services. else it will be just a money transfer for users and devs shooting bullets from users shoulders and getting what they want *cough* money *cough*

                  The sad fact is that EU citizens don't give too much care. When the hurt is underneath, unseen, you don't feel the pain.

                  Is not like your friends or neighbours will know the entire of your private life in the most continuous(integral) form or otherwise.

                  It's not like they record __everything__ ruthlessly to train their hyperpriced software on their suprapriced hardware on your parents pension funds(+VAT*Inflation), world wide.

                  Pretty evil but the democracy of the ignorance of the masses allows it, so, in the end, EUC is helpless.

                  Just tell the masses their phones or highly-addictive-labrat-networks won't work tommorrow and you will have another 1848.So, just cut the fan or something similar. ;)

                        That penalty is too low.

                        It should be at $500 BILLION at minimum, better if $1 TRILLION.

                          Yeah they doing ''punishment'' and take legal tender but where it ends ? in whos pockets?
                          This won't help anything... The companies will boost their prices so they will get those 500 mil back ...
