Anonymous, 24 Apr 2025The display went from pOLED(2024) to AMOLED(2025), same cam... moreThe sony lens in the 2025 is much better then the lens int he 2024 and they now have action shot for moving objects., they added waterproofing, the screen in much brighter, charging went from 30w to 68w. added waterproofing, a better dac that supports 24bit flac files over the headphone jack, the stylus is defiantly more responsive. the fram on the 25 is metal instead of the plastic. The only issue is the vegan leather is nice but like my 24 its goign to rub smooth and small chuncks will start to come off from going in and out of my pocket. A case would solve it but then can't show off the color plus I don't ever drop my phone haven't broken a phone since my htc m8 and that broke because the charging port gave out.

MSRP of Motorola phones are too high, but at around 40% discount they are a good deal. I got a G Play 2024 for $70 and it is great as a backup phone, but I would have never paid $150 for it.

The display went from pOLED(2024) to AMOLED(2025), same cameras basically except the ultrawides(13m on 2025), better stylus, pretty good upgrades from the 2024 model but I don't think I'm going back to motorola, just broke my moto g stylus 5g 2024 like three weeks to a month ago, luckily I found a used galaxy S22 ultra and it's amazing. Ive Loved stylus phones ever since the LG STYLO, this s22 ultra is an amazing phone plus the stylus and it still updates until the end of 2026, atw back fromm 2022. I love motos tho, I definitely would have bought the 2025 moto G stylus if I didn't luck up and find a brand new barely used galaxy s22 ultra. Good job motorola, hand out a few more hrs of OS updates and they can really compete with the big guys with just their midrange phones. Be besides the edge series motos or razr series the g series can't sustain with competition. But love the G stylus series!! I'm bougie now since I'm on team Samsung currently 😅🤣😂

Anonymous, 24 Apr 2025Why would you want any unnecessary money spent on the packa... moreBecause the unboxing experience leaves a very good impression on the consumer. I see a lot of people (especially gamers) who like to put up their electronics boxes on a shelf. It's just human psychology, people like a good looking box that will make them feel less guilty for spending money. (In addition, the durability of the box helps with the resale value)
If you look back in the day at Apple, they used to have a song play the first time you boot up a MacBook Pro. OS X Snow Leopard used to have this very extravagant welcome intro. (song)
If you look at ASUS gaming laptops, they include a shit ton of playful stickers. All I'm saying is psychology matters. Period. The pennies it costs to print with ink are negligible. (as for "sustainability", we all know it's BS. Those batteries are far worse for the environment than the paper packaging or the ink)

You've already bought the device, you don't need to be reminded of what it looks like or the features it has.

It seems like GSMArena reviews a unique Motorola phone like this that supports Stylus and last one G Power that has a big battery and that is only for US. Rather than the long standing popular G85 that has no reviews at all.

Why does Motorola packaging look cheap? Why can't they have an image of the phone like Apple? or do something different like Sony?
Even accessory makers (Spigen, Ringke, Belkin, Ugreen, Anker, Hori, Baseus, ...) all have better looking packaging than Motorola (albeit less minimalistic because of all of the advertised features)
You can even see this issue extend over to Lenovo laptops. Some of the most generic packaging i've ever seen. Gaming consoles as old as (PS2, Xbox & Wii) all had way nicer packaging with printed colors all over. Lenovo's doesn't feel premium whatsoever & even the first boot splash screen on all Lenovo/Motorola products is generic. Why? Software doesn't cost a single dime.

Just realised that this phone is basically identical to the Edge 60 Style, except for the chipset, which looks worse on a glance, but is actually slightly better.

Looking forward to your full review. Curious to see if the Motorola night time photos and previous shutter lag issues have improved. Also read that the phone will only have software support for only 3 years.
