Anonymous, 09 Sep 2013I highly doubt that there are 450 million iphone users in t... moreYes the real mumber might be around 350-400 million, you know first iPhones didnt sell that much and i think those are which arent in use anymore. I think most iPhones after 3G is still in use and more coming everyday. That 450 million number was old stat already, after that apple has already announced best june q when they sold 31 million and how many they have sold after that, around 20-30 million? So actually there might be over 400 million in use. And theres millions 3gs/4/4S owners who waiting to get this iPhone 5S, im one of them.

Still i think before next summer iPhone 5C going to be best selling smartphone ever, every signs supports that.

Anonymous, 09 Sep 2013No. theres 6 iPhones, not "one" iPhone2G iPhone... moreYes, 6 phones… all have basically the same parameters since the 1st one with a minor upgrade and only one being released each year; while other Smartphone manufactures have several distinct models that cater to their customers and they release them all year long. Samsung brought back the flip phone; why? because someone asked for it. Older people in America (people in their 50’s and 60’s) still love flip phones, so Samsung made it. Again, Iphone is just one phone, basically the same phone.

Anonymous, 09 Sep 2013Again, there is really only one Iphone and many versions of... moreNo. theres 6 iPhones, not "one"
                          iPhone2G
                          iPhone3G
                          iPhone3GS
                          iPhone4
                          iPhone4S
                          iPhone5

secondly, what i mean is that if someone has an iphone 4S and a Samsung Galaxy S2 for sale right now (both released in the same year, 2011), the iPhone4S would be sold for more $$ than the Galaxy S2... in fact, it would sell for more $$ than the Galaxy S3 too... and they are both 2 year old phones.

and regarding the trade in program. Its easier for someone that has an used iphone to trade it and exchange it for a new model, instead of going thru the hassle of ebay(just an example) and having thru first sell it and ship it and wait for money to be released by paypal in order to then use it towards a new phone...

they do not only make it easier for people to get money for their phone, but they guarantee that they'll remain Apple customers for another 2 years. Its basic and it works because People are lazy.

AnonD-120291, 09 Sep 2013it really shows that iphone has lost its edge in the market... moreWell, iPhone is still only phone where you can get iOS, thats one big reason. Second big reason, apple is only OEM who have small hi-end phone, and like we have seen there's still huge markets for small screen phone.

Also you forget all the others than iPhone 5 owners, theres around 450 million iPhone users, so even if small amount of those users upgrade to iPhone 5S it cant be anything but big hit. Sorry apple isnt going anywhere this same have been said every year and yet every year apple have maid record sells for iPhone, same going to happen again, just wait and see.

IPhone cant be anything but huge hit with userbase like apple have.

it really shows that iphone has lost its edge in the market, every company has a turn on top and for a while it has been apple but i see that day coming to an end soon in the next year or 2, the phones are boring, expensive and I find it funny how many people will go and buy one when it becomes available and what for? oh wait, we have a wider aperture of f2.0 instead of f2.4, that is great, but how many people will understand that, not a lot, it STILL has an 8mp camera, it still has the same design, it still has the same OS but with a different color scheme and a few randomly designed icons (not my words- multiple website reviewers words)the processor will get a few 100mhz boost but as its apple its not really needed to be fair due to the optimization which is fair enough, otherwise all i see is an overpriced out of date 3 year old phone, WP8 phones are all superior, ALL of the new android phones from Sony z1 to samsung s4, to HTC One or LG newest offering are all vastly more superior in EVERY single way, so what is all the fuss about? its a mid range, mid speccd phone in a top of the range price band, OMG I need to queue for days to get one lol

Oh, so pretty much sums up every iPhone update since the first iPhone was released, but then Apple users should be use to this by now.

Move along, move along, nothing to see here.
