(anzi a venire derubati)

Per finire e snocciolare "numeri";

(o "fsr" in altri ambiti)

2.254 / 5.000
Bru, the meaning of my speech is clear and precise.

I will play a GTA6 on my RTX4070

As for the rest, even a machine like the RedMagic 9 Pro from which I am writing to you in this discussion, therefore a SoC like the SnapDragon 8 Gen 3, is more than enough to play "PS4" titles.

I mean by this, that what these "merchants" of disinformation flaunt is NOT true.

I couldn't care less about "dlss" software nonsense, because I am aware that they are psychological tricks to try to convince people to spend. (or rather to get robbed)

A bit like a Sony that makes you spend 1000 bags for the "most powerful GPU".

In this specific case, they make you spend 500 bags for hardware that is half as good!

What do you mean? has the "dlss"

To finish and reel off "numbers";

An Adreno 750 is capable of 2.7 TFlops

An Nvidia T239 from what has emerged in the last few hours, just 1.71 Tflops (VERY different from the 4 Tflops of a T234, or the 3.7 Tflops of an Adreno 830 Aka-Elite Gen 1)

WHERE is this "phantom" Hardware superiority? Does it come directly from the "dlss"? (or "fsr" in other contexts)

In the meantime, I continue to play MOBILE, games of the caliber of a Rise of Tomb Raider at full speed and high details, as well as many other games in UE and Unity, such as an Everspace 2, a Chorus, a Dead or Alive 5-6, a Heaven (version 2.8xx, without the "dlcgaysh") (medium or high shadows, depending on the polygonal complexity and the load on the processor), 720p in most cases, on a 6.7" and with an Xbox wireless controller.

Given that the SD8Gen3 SoC MUST take care of several compatibility layers.
So not even natively, but simulated/emulated.

This says a lot about the actual hardware power put into play.

And unlike the "geetkeepers" I don't talk bullshit, given that I'm one of you and I have several years of experience videogames, software and hardware in general (500 threads, 28 processes, 1.2GB of ram in effective use of an OS like Win11, which already shoots 150 to 200 background processes on your screen)

So I KNOW what I say and write.

NEVER be fooled by the nonsense of "merchants".

    No problem spending $90 or more on an AAA title. But only for a PS5 or XBOX Series game, not for a degraded Switch version.
    The Switch 2 will not be capable of running big AAA titles in the same quality.

Nintendo was in a rush when it was going to release the Nintendo Switch as the Wii U ship was sinking. The Tegra X1 was the best available option in the market at that time, so it was chosen. On the other hand, NVIDIA and Nintendo had years to design the Tegra 239. I'm quite sure that they discussed security as they are aware that the Tegra X1 has a vulnerability. We'll see soon enough.

                            Lister, your posts are good and I fully agree. It's refreshing to see good posts from an adult. Unfortunately, most who are complaining here are kids who grew up playing "free" mobile "games". In reality phone "games" are just online casinos designed to scam thousands of dollars (or other currency) from people using predatory tactics. It's really sad. And here we have people complaining about 1 time game cost for cheerful Nintendo game that you can play for years and year, and when you are done you can even resell or trade-in that game. Can't do that with all your virtual coins you bought in Raid Shadow Legends or whatever.

                              Nintendo Haters gonna Hate.

                              People seem to forget how little game prices have risen in the last 30 years, compared to development costs. We were always going to be charged more.

                              Also, comparing the Switch 2 to the PS5 and Xbox hardware is pretty much missing the point. You can't pick up your PS5 and play it on the go. It's a hybrid console, so compromises have to be made. Comparing it to your phone is also silly, because you can't dock your phone and play at higher resolutions.

                              Nintendo aren't perfect, they have done some bad things, but some people here need a reality check.

                                    About the "gatekeepers" who haunt this specific news thread;

                                    - I would like to remind you what your "dear company" has done towards emulation and OpenSource in general.

                                    I'd like to remind you that the Nvidia Tegra T239 hardware is even worse than the T234 (at least you would have had a shred of gibberish to try to advertise the sale of your "trained monkey" toy by the kilo).

                                    So, pray tell, how would it be superior (even!) to a Snapdragon Gen 3;

                                    - CONSIDERING that the T239 is at least 2 generations behind in performance?

                                    REALLY, do you "maintainers" believe that people fall for your nonsense?

                                    Your lies?

                                    Your delusions?

                                    Who do you still think you are deluding?

                                    Perhaps yourselves!

                                    In the meantime, I greet you from my RedMagic 9 Pro, with its collection of games from different stores and storefronts.

                                    PostScriptum: Waiting for a REAL Handheld Console.

                                    30 years of "Mario" and "Zelda" have tired me out.

                                    Your toy, it should NOT cost more than 250 bags, because THAT is its price.

                                    AND YOU SHOULD STOP IT! With the "remastered" fad;

                                    - WE ALL UNDERSTAND, your CREATIVE EMPTY.

All other games at launch are $10, $15, $40, $50 etc. Lots of price points for everyone. Zelda upgrades are $10. Many other upgrades will be free. If you can't afford that then wait for sales or buy used games (yes you can do that, unlike on PC for example).

                                      Did you not read this article buddy? Those games are all 70 dollars plus. Mario Kart with the bundle is fine. That does not make it a good bundle, the base price is still way too high. This isn't about not being able to afford it. I do not care for the Switch 2, others do. Why should they pay exorbitant prices for new games, just because Nintendo feels like it? Also your last argument is by far your worst. On PC, games regularly go on sale. You don't need used games.
