I was always annoyed that they used the same OLD sensors... really happy to hear this. Omnivision giving Sony a run for their money!!

              they need to up their telephoto processing and most importantly the UW cam ASAP.

                The main camera will be a new Omnivision 50mp sensor called OV50Q which, in addition to what's stated in the article will also support LOFIC technology.

                The next generation of flagships will be more interesting than the current generation as the current generation are mostly just using sensors that already existed in the previous generation.

                Sony and Omnivision will bring numerous improved new sensors next year so I think we'll see lots of changes on flagship phones and also it's likely that even some subbrands will get 200mp periscopes.
