I doubt a telephoto of this sensor size will create much better images than the main sensor at 2x crop. Should have either been a 3x or 3.5x lens or drop it entirely for a better ultrawide (1/3“ 12MP) and OIS on the main cam. There‘s a reason why 2x telephoto is not seen on lower end phones or phones in general, now that 50MP 4-to-1-binning large sensor main cameras are standard. This is more of a spec sheet flex than anything useful.

Now this is actually a huge upgrade over the predecessor of it, and the price isn't that high either. Good job Nothing!

Glad I bought the Poco X6 Pro and didn't wait for this thing.

2.1x the performance, 2x the storage at 256 GB UFS 4.0, almost 3x faster RAM at 68.2 GB/s vs 25.6 GB/s and 2x the charging speed, all this for ₹19,960 INR from Amazon.

Anonymous, 28 Apr 2025They are going to kill the 3A in sales. Too similar. Should... moreSo what if it does. People want value for money. The more value they offer customers the more units they'll sell and make more money in the end while also establishing the recognition of their brand.

The (a) series was a mistake anyway, they cost the same and in some cases more expensive than rival brands but with worse build quality and specs. When you're a new start up company if you're going to go head to head with established brands in the midrange segment competing against the likes of Motorola, Xiaomi, Oppo, Realme, Infinix etc, you need to undercut your rivals by offering better specs and build quality at cheaper prices in order to establish your company and plant the flag in the sand like OnePlus did back in the day.

Carl is getting back to that OnePlus ethos with the CMF Phone 2 by offering a bang for buck product at a cheaper price. Let's hope he keeps this same energy for the flagship Phone 3 because a bunch of pretty lights on the back of the phone won't do much in today's tough economy to sway consumers towards your product when there are so many great alternatives out there.

No wireless charging is a big miss IMO, especially with the magnets.

If it had a headphone jack and no cutout, I'd consider it even at $ 350+. Otherwise, it's fun but mostly gimmicky.

Anonymous, 28 Apr 2025UFS 2.2 ?Yes, smartzone.de already tested storage speed

                  Speaker is not stereo .....

                    Good moves

I was waiting for a compact phone. Well, maybe next time

Nevertheless this brings considerable upgrades over the predecessor, especially in the cameras. Also, the higher touch sampling is appreciated because it was something lacking on my CMF (1) and it significantly helps while gaming. The 120 fps was also present in the (1), but perhaps it can better maintain it this time.

They can also enable the essential key to have more functions, maybe with future updates. Overall, it's the best phone, once again, in it's segment. As a cmf (1) user I can highly recommend Nothing OS because it provides a much smoother experience over other U.I skins, and maintains a clean look while still providing some extra features over stock android

Anonymous, 28 Apr 2025Well done, 6.3" screen... Not. Yet another large phone... moreSadly, it's a 6.77" phone, but it's fine for this price range. Smaller phones are more expensive to make nowadays.

                              Jsusj, 28 Apr 2025Speaker mono or stereo?Mono 😭

The CMF 1 did not not have an always on display.
I will buy this one if it does.

They are going to kill the 3A in sales. Too similar. Should've removed the tele lens.

I wasn't expecting the camera hardware to be THIS GOOD at this price point, the sensor size of the main camera and telephoto are almost as big as the OnePlus 13T, and it even has an ultrawide camera (though only 8MP) which the 13T doesn't have!

Yes, image processing and stabilization appears to be lacking. But at such a cheap price? I'm not gonna complain at all.

I like it. Wouldn't use it, but I think is nice.
Telephoto needs to stop being a "flagship" feature. Far more useful than Ultrawide. Main lenses are already wide enough most of the time.
