This is also a huge threat for Samsung if they don't adjust their launch time

I wouldn't be calling a 25% CPU and 30% GPU "healthy upgrades in performance compared to its predecessor". The Snapdragon Elite had a 45% CPU and 40% GPU improvements over it's predecessor, that's more of a "healthy" upgrade in my opinion.

Apple have nothing of that its just overheats even on basic games like checkers, minesweeper, etc

Android chipsets have now caught up to Apple chipsets.

Looks great. But cant understand why someone can compare this to Apple.
In terms of benchmark numbers apple been better since a very long time in terms of real life experience mostly at gaming Apple chips were always super useless barely running even mine sweeper without lagg, delay, overheating, bugs and other CPU and GPU issues.

I'm much more interested in what Qualcomm has in store for the X-series. They've already skipped the second generation Oryon there, so I'm having high expectations for the third generation Oryon chips in those, rather than in the 8 Elite 2 especially given the performance gains shown with the 8 Elite 2 between the second and third gen Oryon.

Currently, the Oryon cores are only found in the Elite series which is now their premium tier flagship.
8 Elite- Premium/Ultra tier
8s/8 Gen- Highend
7 Gen series- Upper midrange
6 Gen series- Lower midrange
4 Gen series- Lowend

Smartphones are now not just a phone, it can now be a gaming machine, portable desktop and editting machine like a full time desktop machine.
Android OS improves and gets more and more features as well as the apps and games built for it, you cant just stay on a Snapdragon 865 forever bro. Those now lags versus a Snadragon 8 Elite.
My Redmagic when plugged on a Widescreen Smart TV turns into a full console via USB C to HMDI. Upscales all games and apps to 2K @60-120fps with native keyboard/mouse/gamepad mapping while the snartphone itself can be used standalone much like the mentioned Samsung Dex

We get double-digit percentage performance improvements every year, but the battery life remains essentially the same. The energy saved by the smaller node is completely eaten up by the higher performance. If you're not a tryhard gamer, you don't need this level of performance. A main core with a maximum clock speed of 3 GHz like the 8 Gen 3 would suffice. The new node would bring better energy efficiency and the battery life would increase significantly. Instead, we get another overpowered chip that requires special cooling mechanisms to reach peak performance for even a minute.

Case in point all top gaming phones use the 8 Elite.
Processors use electricity. That means sustained performance to be had generates heat and thus needs cooling to achieve sustained performanc3 on any chioset on any device used anywhere!
It's simple physics ... study it for once before pitting verbatim what you heard on the internet and making up nonsense.

Anonymous, 29 Apr 20258s is the flagship killer (upper mid)
7+ is the mid range ... moreA flagship killer uses the best chip available i.e. 8 Elite or 9400. 8s is upper midrrange or lower flagship.
Qualcomm product segmentation is getting more confusing. Almost as confusing as Intel.
People liked Kirin more because no nonsense, always the best chip available. Huawei only has 2 levels of chips, flagship and mid-tier.
