In the end, it's the individual buyers who make or break a company, not just the clever advertising and greedy marketing tactics.

                                        I'm not an idiot, though. In capitalism, completely disregarding good strategies for sales will not result in good profit, and I understand that marketing exists to boost sales. However, we tend to get so caught up in the consumerism that we forget what really matters - people, in general. "The customer is always right" has been a phrase not uttered for decades, and with Big Tech dictating what people do with the products people buy, it's only gotten worse.
