It also wasn't transparent about the practice.

And btw, Tiktok has a better algo than silicon valley tech companies hence FB and youtube copying features like Shorts (YT) and Reels (FB).

But both FB and Tiktok, despite the negativity in the comments, has provided online business platforms for my fellow countrymen for free.

Doesn't matter what goes behind the scenes. They got their businesses up and going with Live selling in these two. The stomach gets top priority over the mind and heart for most people.

It's like 1.4 billion of them to blame that they were unlucky to be born in a region with these types of government rules and regulations.

China could care less about the fine. Information (about people) is more valuable and more lucrative as a commodity in this postmodern internet artificial intelligence era. Its pretty much the present day space race.
Also an avenue and a way for a Gov to "legally" collect vital information on "criminal activity."

Politicians warning the people for apps like TikTok, with a reason. Yet they're also using TikTok themselves. Do as I say, not as I do.
Hence I'm glad I ain't using TikTok or FB.

                    Yay, finally!
It should have been more + banned, and yet people are still trying to defend companies from this country.

Every media platform does that. Ignore and use everything you want or delete your accounts.

I'm so glad I do not use tiktok, that platform is a data farm for china and so is Instagram and FB for American government/NSA/meta

It's the backdoor way for EU to earn money from EU users expense to blame it on TikTok and China as the data probably is a lot more then just 560 million worth so EU want their piece of the pie

Are we even surprised at this point?

Oh no, Chinese companies transfer data to china, who could have guessed that they don’t care about european laws.
