You do realise that twins and some family members can unlock each other's phones with FaceID but they can't with fingerprint unlock? In what way is fingerprint inferior?

    Apple always being left behind. Android phones will follow through ZTE's under display cameras soon, hope ZTE will get ahead of perfecting the under display tech and so other OEMs. RedMagic devices now even have a decent selfie capturing on good lighting UDC cameras

              YoloBS, 6 hours agoDoes apple know about under display fingerprint sensor ?Apple consider FaceID to be more secure than fingerprint.
              Also, the secure enclave can only use one secure biometric. So it would be either FaceID or TouchID, not both. There's a reason iPad Pros only use FaceID, and Macbooks only use TouchID (despite having a notch).

                                iPhone users don't mind the unsightly notch. Apple should think about moving the selfie camera under the display as well as the FaceID.
